SALLY FIELD: DID SHE OR DIDN’T SHE ATTEND BURT REYNOLDS’ FUNERAL?

Burt Reynolds happened to die at the right time for his ex-girlfriend Sally Field. She just released a memoir, In Pieces, which included some not–so-nice recollections of their romance (we think she was holding back,) and she’s been getting a lot of publicity. Good for her- Burt did NOT treat his women well. Sally admits she hasn’t spoken to Burt in 30 years. So why did Us Weekly report that she was at his funeral in West Palm Beach (home of The Enquirer) – she was the only celebrity in attendance, if she WAS there. Burt wanted to be buried in the driver’s seat of his 1977 Trans Am, but he didn’t leave enough money to pay for such a funeral, so he was sensibly cremated. We strongly DOUBT that Sally would have shown up, and are waiting for US to retract their mistake…

  1. Janet’s intense hatred for Men and her disrespect of the departed is shameful.

  2. Burt was a very old skool type of manly man. Unapologetically so and therefore very appealing.

  3. Hmmm. The unwashed press is also reporting that Loni SPOKE at said funeral–which we find even harder to swallow (unless the estate coughed-up her 7-figure “appearance fee” demands)!

More likely: these two very different, though equally fascinating women, are breathing sighs of relief that Burt’s gone, and ain’t coming back any time soon.

Sally’s refusal to even talk to the man for three decades–despite his frequent solicitious overtures toward her in the media–hints toward the UNFORGIVABLE.

She did write that her sons both LOATHED Reynolds; we agree that she’s not telling all she could, though her publishers are sure to be multi-orgasmic over the serendipitous timing.
