Now that he’s single and ready to mingle, Joe Simpson seems to have lost a lot of weight and spiffed up his wardrobe. In fact, he’s almost unrecognizable. He still manages his daughters Jessica and Ashlee’s careers plus a few singers and male and female models. Last night he had dinner at Giorgio Baldi with a pretty young woman who might be a new client.

We never thought we’d encounter a plaid we didn’t like, but – here it is. Jessica Simpson left a business meeting in a New York office building dressed like THIS. (Doesn’t she look around at other women on the street?) Her skirt is WAY too short, and paired with 7 inch heels, looks tired. And absurdly impractical. Jessica Simpson has no qualms about showing off her kids – they both happen to be adorable. She and little Ace created quite a stir at The Grove. (Ace and his sister Maxwell both inherited Jessica’s chin dimple. Michael Jackson had one created by his plastic surgeon.) As Jessica and Ace were leaving, they were besieged by fans and photographers, but she totally kept her cool,and Ace did too.

Nobody wanted to pay for Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross’s wedding photos, but this pic that sister Jessica posted on Instagram is a winner. Jessica and her lookalike two year old Maxwell, who was flower girl at the ceremony, are both wearing white fluffy dresses and the resemblance is startling. Lucky Maxwell got her mother’s looks and it appears that her little brother Ace, 1, also resembles the Simpson side of the family.
Jessica Simpson’s father Joe tried to be discreet at his daughter’s wedding. Joe’s special friend, model Jonathan Keith, was with him at the San Ysidro Ranch pool and as soon as they spotted paparazzi the guys stayed far apart. Joe and twentysomething Keith have also been seen frolicking on the beach together in Miami and people jumped to conclusions, but Joe insists that Jonathan is nothing more than his “client.”

It has been suggested that Jessica Simpson warned her father Joe NOT to bring any of his young male companions to her wedding. (Photos surfaced of Joe and a young man on the beach in Miami looking chummy.) The truth is, Joe wouldn’t THINK of doing that and Jessica knows it. But a huge problem remains. Jessica’s mother Tina cannot STAND to be in the same room with her former husband, and Jessica is clearly torn. She’s always been close to her dad AND mother and she wants them both at her wedding. What’s a girl to do?

Jessica Simpson’s baby-daddy Eric Johnson is sitting pretty. He hasn’t played football for five years, but since he met his entrepreneurial fiancée Jessica, they’ve had two children – a boy, Ace, born in June, and daughter Maxwell, above, one and a half. While Jessica attends to her many profitable business projects, Eric plays househusband and he’s not complaining. Their daughter is amazingly beautiful.

Jessica Simpson used to buy extravagant gifts for her friends at places like Barneys, but things have changed. Her clothing and accessory collections aren’t selling quite as well as they have in the past, and her family is expanding, so she‘s cutting corners. Her friends have noted than nowadays Jessica pulls shoes or something from her own fashion lines that she doesn’t have to pay for, and gives them as gifts.
