A FASHION FIRST FOR CHRISTINA AGUILERA

When it comes to fashion, it often feels like we’ve seen everything, like everything has been done before. For example, bell bottoms came and went- and came back again. It’s rare that anything truly NEW shows up in fashion. So we were quite surprised to see Christina Aguilera flashing something totally NEW. Take a close look at her GLOVES- can you see the openings and her long nails poking out? Of course the trend for elaborate nails inspired this invention. We’re not fond of this trend, but women who spend the time to create outrageous nails will no doubt be licking their chops for these gloves!

Angelyne Gloves

ANGELYNE ACCESSORIZES HER MASK AND GLOVES

Angelyne and a companion stopped at a supermarket in Calabasas today and she wore hot pink plastic gloves and a scarf around her neck ready for masking her face. Her friend is obviously either a rabid fan (he’s wearing an Angelyne t-shirt) or an employee, because they both drove hot pink Corvettes to the store. Angelyne must be SO pumped because a dramatic miniseries is in the process of being made about her life, starring Emmy Rossum.

Gloves Rod Stewart

ROD STEWART: MAYBE NOT FOREVER YOUNG, BUT REASONABLY SAFE

Rod Stewart has no intention of letting fear of coronavirus keep him housebound. But he realizes he IS the oldest person in his family, so he’s not taking chances – he wore white gloves this morning when they all went out to breakfast in Bel Air. Rod had knee replacement only a few months ago and he’s already performing, but the virus caused Caesar’s Palace to cancel his shows next weekend – they will be rescheduled.

Faye Dunaway

FURTHER ADVENTURES OF FAYE DUNAWAY AND HER GLOVES

One thing about Faye Dunaway – she is NEVER boring. That’s why we love any kind of news about her. She appeared to be very happy and in a Christmassy mood while shopping at The Grove today with her assistant. Years ago we wrote about Faye wearing plastic gloves at a chicken fast food restaurant where she weighed her food. She also wears plastic food handling gloves while she’s out running errands like picking up dry cleaning. Faye loves gloves with her evening wear also – she wore odd yellow leather gloves to a Vanity Fair Oscar party and was described as looking like she “rushed straight to the party from the kitchen sink.” Is she germ conscious? She wore just one glove (white with a black ruffle on the wrist) on her right hand at The Grove, and it was clutching the assistant’s hand. It got us wondering…
