HARRY STYLES IS DOING WHAT ELVIS DID

When it comes to his on-stage costumes, Harry Styles has turned to the late Elvis Presley for inspiration, which explains his penchant for glitzy jumpsuits etc. Just like Elvis, Harry is meticulously storing all of his flamboyant costumes, including his sequined jumpsuits and feather boas, since he figures one day they will be worth a fortune. Harry might be ON to something – a few years back Elvis’s white jumpsuit and matching cape sold for over a million dollars! Harry documents everything he wears, and then it’s stored in a climate controlled, cedar lined facility. A friend explains that he insists on keeping all of the clothes he wears in stage, to events, AND in his movies, so he’s already amassed QUITE a collection!

Leave it to Kristen Stewart – and Chanel – to make a conservative style look racy. Kristen’s frock for the red carpet closing of the Berlin Film Festival has a high collar, long sleeves and it’s ankle length with buttons down the front. No slits, no scoops and no glitz – except for the shiny buttons. The dress just happens to be see-through, and Kristen only wore high black panties underneath. You can see almost all of her tattoos. None of those predictable slinky gowns for Kristen – remember, she wore hot pants to the Oscars a few years back…

Madonna just announced her upcoming world tour celebrating 40 plus years as a musical icon and the show will be a fashionista’s dream. Prepare to get an eyeful of Madonna. On past tours Madonna would rely on one designer to create costumes – this time she’s spreading the love and plans on using as many designers as she can get. Her longtime collaborator, Jean Paul Gaultier is just one of many she’s leaning on to create some showstoppers. Also on the list – Donatella Versace, Dolce & Gabbana and Stella McCartney -just to name a few. She’s also planning to hire up-and-coming designers to create some original looks so fans can expect PLENTY of costume changes. Her iconic Gaultier cone bra is already getting revamped for the tour. We cannot help but compare her to the late flamboyant performer Prince. Both were “dandies.” He was 5’2” and loved the color purple. Janelle is 5’0” and loves black and white. They both indulged in fashion fantasies and their music is both unusual and similar.
