MATTHEW PERRY’S BATMAN COLLECTION IS UP FOR GRABS

Turns out the late Matthew Perry spent a considerable amount of his Friends’ fortune on Batman memorabilia. He identified with both Batman and his alter-ego Bruce Wayne – that’s why he often called himself “Mattman.” When he couldn’t sleep at night, he’d scroll on eBay for more Batman collectibles. Now his family is planning to auction off his collection to raise money for his drug and alcohol foundation. My source estimates that Mathew’s extensive collection of everything Batman could fetch millions at auctions for two reasons – many of the collectible items are rare AND the provenance of them being owned and treasured by Matthew increases the value. Though still in mourning, the family wants to focus on turning the proceeds from the auction into a cash infusion for the foundation they just launched. This IS what Matt would have wanted…

MARGOT ROBBIE: SMARTER THAN SHE LOOKS

Margot Robbie has been channeling Barbie as she appears around the globe on red carpets everywhere promoting the anticipated movie about the legendary doll. Margot has been wearing custom made outfits (above) to duplicate some of Barbie’s most famous costumes. Margot agreed to the cute gimmick with one condition: that she’s able to KEEP all of the outfits. According to a well-placed source, if the movie is the blockbuster like it’s expected to be, she plans to auction off the clothes to benefit her favorite charities, thinking the bigger the box office the more her one-of-a-kind fashions will be worth. THAT’S thinking ahead…

DYLAN MULVANEY HOPES FOR A BUD LIGHT HAPPY ENDING

America’s suddenly most infamous transgender influencer, Dylan Mulvaney wants something positive to come out of the recent Bud Light fiasco. As you’ll recall, the beer giant faced a grassroots boycott – thanks to people like Kid Rock – who wanted to punish the brand for hiring Dylan for promotional social media posts. As part of the collaboration, Dylan’s face was embossed on a single can of Bud Light to commemorate one year since the sex change. Dylan is hoping to turn lemons into lemonade by auctioning the now infamous can and donating the proceeds to charity. Given the worldwide attention the one-of-a-kind can has garnished, Dylan expects to raise a pretty penny for charity.

RUSSELL CROWE HAS PUT HIS MARRIAGE BEHIND HIM

Who knew that Russell Crowe, 54, was such a sentimental collector? His divorce from Danielle Spencer was final last year and he’s cleaning house with an online auction at Sotheby’s Australia called “The Art of Divorce.” Russell saved costumes from most of his movies and his fans can now buy everything from his gladiator costumes and body armor to his neo-Nazi Romper Stomper boots. He also has a full-size Roman chariot along with a large custom motorcycle collection and loads of collectible guitars. In case you forgot, he’s a musician and has had several bands in Australia. The auction expects to pull in millions of dollars – some of which will go to kids’ charities in Australia.

Above Russell appeared last fall in London with his latest band Indoor Garden Party.

SINCE WHEN DOES MADONNA CARE ABOUT HER OLD PANTIES?

There’s nothing Madonna enjoys more than SHOCKING ordinary people, so we were surprised when she put up a fuss over an ex-boyfriend auctioning off a pair of panties she gave him in 1994. The guy, Peter Shue, says Madonna sent him the panties with a love note before she left town one day and their relationship fizzled not long after that. Shue is trying to drum up interest in a book he wrote about his life (above) so he’s enjoying the fuss and challenged Madonna to buy the panties herself. What’s funny is how much BETTER Madonna has aged than her ex-boyfriend! – Click HERE to see him now.

THE MALTESE FALCON AUCTION COULD SET A NEW RECORD

One of the most collectible film props in history is up for auction again: the namesake statuette from The Maltese Falcon. Bonham’s is auctioning off the treasure on November 25 and the last time it sold in the 90’s, it went for $398,500. It’s odd that Bonham’s doesn’t mention whether the statue is resin or lead, but there are supposed to be two lead versions weighing 47 pounds and one resin statue at four and a half pounds, in circulation today. The lead statue proved too heavy for the diminutive Humphrey Bogart to carry around on camera so the resin copy was created. This falcon up for auction once belonged to actor Robert >Conrad, who was given it by Jack Warner for some reason. When Conrad died in 1994 it started bouncing around. Will is sell for a million dollars?

MARILYN MONROE WHEN SHE WAS YOUNG AND INNOCENT

This 1941 class photograph from Ralph Waldo Emerson High School in Los Angeles is going up for auction at Bonhams next month because the girl who was to become Marilyn Monroe is among the students. Fifteen year old Norma Jeane Baker signed the back of the photo for a school friend of hers named George. She wrote: “To Georgie, A super swell fellow, in fact, really keen! (I really mean it Geo!) Norma Jeane Baker.” Her choice of words is so charming. Bonham’s expects the photo to go for around $9000.

MICK JAGGER’S EX-GIRLFRIEND SOLD HIS LOVE LETTERS FOR BIG BUCKS

#mickjagger #marshahunt #janetcharlton

Mick Jagger had one child that we completely forgot about. The first of Mick’s seven kids with four women was Karis Jagger, born in 1970 to Mick’s obsession at the time, Marsha Hunt. The beautiful American singer was the inspiration for Mick’s song “Brown Sugar.” Marsha saved ten love letters that Mick wrote to her during their time together around 1969 (he was 25) and they were just auctioned off at Sotheby’s in London for $300,000 to a private collector. Mick’s first daughter Karis is now 42, in the photo above she got married in Las Vegas in 2000 with both her parents present.

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY BIDDING ON MICHAEL JACKSON’S SURGICAL MASK!

We’re always fascinated to learn about rich people spending money in ways that never occurred to us. Who knew that Michael Jackson had custom-made surgical masks designed to his own specification? He had BLACK silky fabric instead of the usual white cotton blend to give the item a hipper edge. (Wouldn’t skin color have been less intrusive?) He wore the masks whenever he was out in public but we’re not sure if it was to avoid germs or to cover up his crumbling nose. (Did his housekeeper wash and iron them?) There must have been quite a few left behind when he died. We were surprised to learn that he even wore the masks when he was rehearsing for his final “This is It” tour. TMZ says the last mask he wore to rehearsal was put up for auction by one of his bodyguards and already has a bid of $20,000. It’s expected to bring up to $150,000! THIS mask has smudges of Michael’s makeup on it and a black wig hair. We advise fans to hold off – many more of these masks will probably pop up for sale at a better price.

SOPHIA BUSH PAID BIG BUCKS FOR A DATE WITH PAUL RUDD

For some reason, we never realized that “One Tree Hill” star Sophia Bush was SO active in working with charities. Sophia, (who, by the way, was the Tournament of Roses Parade Queen in 2000) is totally involved in raising money for children’s charities, education, cancer and other health issues, plus the environment. Her costar boyfriend Austin Nichols backs her up all the way. So we shouldn’t be surprised by the fact that she paid $5000 for a date with “Dinner for Schmucks” star Paul Rudd at last week’s Hilarity for Charity auction for the Alzheimer’s Association. But what did Austin think?
