In spite of the fact that her show “The New Girl” won’t be airing again until November, Zooey Deschanel is hard at work on the set, except when she’s taking a snack break, above. The X-Factor will have extended two hour episodes (?) and that’s why Zooey’s hit show has been pushed to next month. Hopefully, her fans will remember her and tune in again.
It makes sense that the Liberace biography “Behind the Candelabra” would land at HBO where they did such a good job with the Jack Kevorkian story. Michael Douglas is still set to play Liberace and Matt Damon is cast as his boyfriend Scott Thorson. (The script is based on Thorson’s book “My Life with Liberace.”) Liberace fell for 17 year old Scott in 1976, and they lived together for five years until drugs and cheating broke them up. Scott Thorson shocked the world in 1982 when he sued Liberace for palimony and revealed all the details of their gay relationship, including the fact that Liberace paid to have Scott get plastic surgery to look more like him! Liberace was devastated. He was adored as a performer but he was forced to lead two lives because he was always in the closet- it’s a fascinating story. AIDS activism keeps Sharon Stone, 53, busy, but good movie roles are few and far between for women her age. She’s agreed to appear in a very low budget Mexican movie called “The Mule.” She plays an American reporter searching for her missing brother at violent US/Mexican border towns. Her lines will have Spanish subtitles. Sharon agreed to do the movie if she could be the ONLY American actress in the film. All the other actresses are Mexican.
We ARE disappointed to hear that ”Moneyball” star Jonah Hill has not only pared off forty pounds (actually it looks like more) but also split with his girlfriend of three years, Jordan Klein, according to Life & Style. They went to high school together and Jordan loved him before he got rich and slim. Above, the couple is pictured at the premier of “Get Him To The Greek” in 2010 when Jonah was hefty, and recently. Some people wondered if Jonah’s movie roles would dry up because chubby guys are funnier than skinny guys, but he has “The Sitter” coming out in December and two more films after that.
Marc Anthony is a huge star in South America and now that he’s about to be single again, he’s seriously thinking of moving there and living there at least six months out of every year. He considered relocating early in his marriage when he was offered a TV show there, but his wife Jennifer Lopez didn’t like the idea. The main obstacle now is the custody issue – he has partial custody of the twins and it won’t be easy to reach an agreement with Jennifer.
Shopping is one activity that Janice Dickinson might be advised to put on the back burner. A friend of ours who happens to have the same last name as Janice (but no relation) has reportedly been inundated with calls from collection agencies who are looking for Janice and won’t take no for an answer. Hopefully Janice will land another reality show so she can catch up on her spending.
According to the Enquirer, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett are on the verge of breaking up (“they’re headed for a $300 million divorce”) and they’re living in separate houses. Will HAS been a little put off by Jada’s obsessive desire to have a career as successful as his, whether it’s in movies or music. Scientology certainly won’t keep them together – the cult doesn’t mind when members divorce because usually both the husband and wife go on to recruit new members for the church. A spy reported to us that Will partied at Soho House Friday night with a bunch of buddies and it was definitely a “boys night out.” The guys had numerous bottles on the table and got louder and rowdier as the night went on. Jada was nowhere to be seen.

Father of five Kevin Federline looks like he has no immediate plans to grow up and start dressing like a man. Britney Spears’ XXXL exhusband took his baby daughter Jordan shopping at Bristol Farms in Beverly Hills. He stocked up on chips and dips and snacks and drinks for Sunday’s football games.
Kristin Davis has been torn over the idea of adopting a baby because she wasn’t sure she should do it as a single mother. Kristin’s character Charlotte on “Sex and the City” adopted, but she was married at the time. Kristin is still single but she turned 46 and couldn’t wait any longer. According to People, she quietly adopted a little girl (from this country) a few months ago and named her Gemma Rose and says it’s a “dream come true.”
