When it comes to celebrity gossip, without a doubt the biggest story of the week, month, and possibly YEAR, was Taylor Swift’s engagement to Travis Kelce. The lovebirds announced their big news on social media on August 25 and much of this week’s recap will be about them – so without further ado, here’s what we know.
It’s been confirmed that they’ve been engaged for approximately two weeks before breaking the news and we can tell you why. Taylor’s close friend, Selena Gomez, was celebrating her bachelorette party in Cabo and Taylor didn’t want to steal the spotlight, so she held off on her big announcement until Selena’s party was over. The surprise engagement was also the reason Taylor had to MISS the bachelorette bash because she originally rsvp’d yes.
Wedding plans are already under way and we are hearing the big day will be in spring 2026 – after football season is over. That will give Taylor and Travis enough time to plan their big day. A destination wedding is definitely on the table and there are rumblings that the duo will rent an ENTIRE island (either in the Caribbean or French Polynesia) to keep the paparazzi at bay.
As for her wedding dress, our well placed fashion source whispers that designers are already clamoring to make the gown – with one even offering to write a big check to Taylor’s favorite charity if given the honor. We are also hearing Travis is being wooed by Amiri, one of his favorite labels, to wear one of their custom tuxedoes.
And we’re not trying to get of ahead of ourselves, BUT we can already tell you that Taylor and Travis are planning to start a family – hopefully soon after they marry. We heard that they are both on the same page when it comes to kids and Taylor’s planning to focus on family and take a well deserved break from her career.
In other big news involving another musician, Lil Nas X made headlines when he was arrested for parading around stark naked in the wee hours of the morning in Studio City, California, and then allegedly assaulting three policemen. Here’s what we know. The openly gay rapper has been on a downward emotional spiral after a recent hush-hush breakup with a closeted semi- famous male. Our source says that the last few weeks have been an emotional roller coaster for the rapper since his lover unceremoniously dumped him and blocked his calls.
Britney Spears continues making news after posting somewhat disturbing and nearly naked pics on social media. We heard this. Her former party pal, Lindsay Lohan, who fought hard to get her life back together, recently reached out and begged Britney to spend a few weeks with her in Dubai, where she lives part time. Lindsay feels that Britney needs a break from Hollywood, and is actually hoping that Britney likes it there so much that she relocates. Lindsay credits her move to Dubai with drastically improving her life and getting it back on track, and she feels it will have the same effect on Britney.
Kris Jenner made the news for becoming a covergirl for Vogue Arabia and dishing about her recent face lift. We can tell you what she DIDN’T dish about. Our source tells us that her facelift was just the top of the iceberg of Kris’s plastic surgery makeover. She is scheduling a breast lift as well as body sculpting treatments, in hopes of further reversing the effects of aging.
Kim Kardashian also made the news for allowing her daughter North, 12, to wear a corset top while on holiday in Rome. We recently told you that North’s daddy, Kayne West, was SO furious he threatened to drag Kim into court to enforce an age appropriate dress code for their kids. We also just heard this. Even Kim’s sister Khloe Kardashian was disappointed in North’s choice of clothing and gave Kim an earful. Khloe is the most conservative member of the family when it comes to parenting and she scolded Kim for allowing North to dress like an adult.
Although this isn’t Hollywood gossip, it’s still gossip and we want to share it. Cracker Barrel was all over the news for their short lived rebrand. The family friendly chain of restaurants revamped their logo removing the old man from it, and everyone from Donald Trump to California Governor Gavin Newsom chimed in. We heard this. The entire fiasco was anything but a mistake, but instead a well-orchestrated ploy to generate headlines and MOUNTAINS of free publicity. THAT explains why the new logo was so amateurish and bad, since the company wanted people to talk about it. Mission accomplished.
