WHAT’S HOLLYWOOD FIXER RAY DONOVAN DOING IN NEW YORK?

Showtime likes Liev Schreiber so much that they moved his series from Los Angeles to New York after six successful seasons. Liev was miserable because he had so little time to spend with his children, who live in New York with their mother. He and his longtime partner Naomi Watts split up amicably last year after 11 years together. Naomi is currently dating Billy Crudup. Ray Donovan writers toiled to create a plausible reason for their main character to move to New York. We wonder how the rest of the cast and crew were affected by the move…

LARRY KING’S SON CHANCE WAS DRAFTED BY THE CHICAGO WHITE SOX

Larry King, 83, is super-proud of his son Chance, 20, who was recently drafted by the Chicago White Sox baseball team. 6’2” Chance towers over his father. (Larry’s younger son Cannon, 18, is also a baseball player.) Chance attended IMG Academy, a sport training prep school in Florida and swears he will go to college in spite of the draft. Chance’s mother is tall and beautiful Shawn Southwick – Larry’s eighth and current marriage. We suspect the boys inherited their athleticism from Shawn. Ironically, Shawn was accused of having an affair with her sons’ baseball coach seven years ago and she and Larry nearly divorced, but changed their minds. That guy must have been QUITE a coach, in more ways than one!

BARBRA STREISAND LEARNED A LESSON IN HOLLYWOOD

Barbra Streisand and James Brolin were photographed partying with a group of friends in Portofino Italy. It’s hard to believe it, but they’ve been married for 19 years – and they still seem quite affectionate. Barbra directed three films in Hollywood and she says the experience made her acutely aware of gender discrimination. Critics observed her work with skepticism and assumed she had help from men. Women doing “men’s jobs” were not welcome. She became a huge benefactor of Planned Parenthood and is writing a memoir about her own struggle for gender equality in Hollywood.

It would be no big deal if this WERE Kesha because she’s known for her “perplexing” outfits. But it happens to be Jessica Simpson and SHE runs a billion dollar fashion company, so we have higher expectations! What possessed her! Jessica is blessed with so much natural beauty, but her too-tight outfit makes her look like – dare we say – a floozie! And those Kesha style sunglasses are just plain silly. MOHAMED HADID’S BEAUTY SECRET

It appears that Mohamed Hadid has learned a thing or two from his successful model daughters Gigi and Bella. The girls have more than a passing acquaintance with hair extensions, and their dad figured “Why not me too?” His hair started thinning a few years ago and instead of having surgery or getting a toupee, he got extensions of his own. They work out well for him. We ARE somewhat taken aback by the outfit Bella wore (above) while having lunch with her dad in Beverly Hills. ROLAND LEE GIFT: LONG TIME NO SEE

Back in the 80’s we had a gigantic crush on Roland Gift and used to drive around in our convertible blasting Fine Young Cannibals music.
But after they released their iconic album The Raw and the Cooked in 1989, the band just seemed to fall apart and nothing followed. Lead singer Roland Gift (now known as Roland Lee Gift) still shows up at the 80’s Rewind Festival every year in the UK. Why doesn’t he appear in the US? KESHA’S TRAVELING OUTFIT IS BEYOND WORDS

This has to be the goofiest outfit we’ve ever seen anyone wear to fly out of LAX. Kesha’s boyfriend can hardly keep a straight face. It’s actually appropriate in a way because Kesha is currently on her Rainbow Tour. She has a lot to be cheerful about – her days in a courtroom may be over for awhile, she just released some singles and her new music is doing well. She’s making money on tour but that hasn’t upgraded her wardrobe – aren’t pop stars supposed to dress BETTER (or at least cooler) than the rest of us?

BEN AFFLECK AND LINDSAY SHOOKUS: IMMEDIATELY INSEPARABLE

The ink was barely dry on his divorce papers when Ben Affleck, 44, moved Lindsay Shookus, 37, into his Brentwood house – not far from where his ex-wife Jennifer Garner and their kids live.
