RUSSELL BRAND GOT ANOTHER WOMAN TO MARRY HIM

Not only is Russell Brand in West Hollywood with an attractive woman, but it turns out he’s actually MARRIED! Remember the big hoopla when he married Katy Perry a few years ago? – that union only lasted 18 months. We don’t find him particularly appealing so we ARE a bit surprised to learn that he married Laura Gallacher (she’s in the restaurant business) last August and they have a one year old daughter Mabel. Brand claims he’s not the same corrupt slug he used to be – but time will tell.

TODAY WAS “NO PANTS ON THE SUBWAY” DAY IN LONDON


The 9th Annual No Pants Subway Ride in London commenced today and fortunately it was organized. 400 participants rode pantless in groups of around 20 people back and forth on the subway Sunday afternoon. They all agreed to wear non-offensive underwear. Amazing, since the temperature was below zero! The idea originated with a prank in New York in 2002, and spread to other countries, but London seemed to love the idea most of all. That woman in front of the top photo looks like SHE doesn’t see the humor in it.

MOHAMED HADID KNOWS HOW TO SPEND HIS MONEY

We weren’t particularly fond of Mohamed Hadid until we saw him driving this amazing car. He’s been having enormous problems with the city – he built a 30,000 sq ft Bel-Air megamansion without getting city approval and now he’s facing the music. It’s a setback, but he can afford it. We confess his likeability factor went up a notch when we saw this car. He beautifully restored this vintage Packard Caribbean convertible and it looks like a million bucks. It’s a magnificent tri-color example of a mid-century flashy American car. (Swoon) All is forgiven.

REGIS PHILBIN: THIS IS WHAT 86 LOOKS LIKE TODAY

We were quite surprised by this photo of Regis Philbin taken today as he arrived in Beverly Hills for lunch. He’s the male Jaclyn Smith! Jaclyn, the former Charlie’s Angel, looks astonishing for her age and Kathie Lee Gifford’s former partner on the Today show is looking every bit as amazing. He’s been on TV since the 60’s, but it’s hard to believe this man is 86 – no wonder Kathie Lee jokes about bringing him back.

Jennifer Lopez had a meeting in a Beverly Hills office building after her workout and unfortunately didn’t have time to change. We say “unfortunately” because the white pastel tights she’s wearing don’t do her any favors. And she’s one of the best looking – and fittest- celebrities around. It’s comforting in a way, to note that even downright beauties have their not-so-hot days……

COREY FELDMAN FINALLY GOT A MOVIE ABOUT HIS LIFE STORY

Corey Feldman has never met a paparazzi he didn’t want to show his fingers to. He’s in New York promoting his new movie A Tale of Two Coreys about his and the late Corey Haim’s success and struggles in Hollywood. Feldman is credited as one of the writers and producers of the film, so naturally he hired good looking actors to play himself (as a child and older.) We’re guessing the movie revolves mostly around HIM. The last time we saw the tragic Corey Haim – he was smoking outside one of those celebrity autograph shows and he told the photographers – both pros and amateurs – crowded around him, that for $50 he’d go to their hotel room and pose for them privately.

PARIS HILTON WANTS US TO BELIEVE HER FIANCEE CAN AFFORD A 2 MILLION DOLLAR RING


Apparently the idea of three pregnant Kardashians pretending NOT to want publicity was more than Paris Hilton could tolerate. Ever since the Kardashians rose to reality stardom and bumped Paris off the gossip pages, she’s been privately irritated. Being the “it girl” was fun, not only did she have paparazzi following her everywhere, but her fame brought her tons of money in perfume deals, etc. Paris decided the time was right for a comeback, so she arranged to have her “surprise?” engagement to actor Chris Zylka artfully photographed with an appealing Aspen background and distributed. As if that weren’t tasteless enough, she had the PRICE of her ring advertised everywhere by the publicity hungry jeweler – c’mon, does anybody really believe it’s worth two million dollars? And where would the not-so-famous actor Zylka get anywhere NEAR that kind of money?

MARK WAHLBERG: EARNING MORE THAN HE’S WORTH?

Mark Wahlberg, 46, should be one of the happiest guys in Hollywood – not only is he married to a former Victoria’s Secret model, and they have four healthy kids, but, according to Forbes, he was the “Highest Paid Actor in Hollywood” last year – earning 68 million dollars! The only downside is that he was also named the “Most Overpaid Actor in Hollywood” because his movies weren’t all that profitable. (The list of overpaid actors is long but there are very few overpaid actresses – because they are paid LESS.) Anyway, Mark and his family are frolicking in the ocean in Barbados and he still has that pained look on his face…

LAINIE KAZAN IS ODDLY UNCONCERNED ABOUT HER SHOPLIFTING ARREST

Lainie Kazan’s friends are worried and offering help because she seems to be IN DENIAL regarding her shoplifting arrest at the Gelson’s upscale supermarket located a few blocks from her house. She’s assuring concerned friends “it’s no big deal,” and isn’t taking the situation seriously, but they know it IS serious. It’s not a minor infraction ($180) and could be worse if she’s ever stolen before. According to Gelson’s, she shoplifted at least two times previously and they have it on video. Stores don’t LIKE to catch celebrity shoplifters, and often overlook it if the items aren’t expensive. (Remember Winona Ryder and Saks Fifth Avenue?) Lainie might have been emboldened by her “successful” earlier shoplifting and took even more. And who knows where ELSE she might be shoplifting. Yes, her friends ARE worried…

RENEE ZELLWEGER: DON’T FORGET ABOUT LORNA LUFT!

Renee Zellweger, 48, (Chicago) has been obsessively researching Judy Garland as she prepares to start filming Judy in February. The movie covers the time period in winter of 1968, when 47 year old Judy was preparing for her final concerts in London. She was at a low point in her career- her TV series was cancelled, her Australian tour was a disaster due to lateness and impairment, and Judy lost her role in the film Valley of the Dolls to Susan Hayward because she didn’t show up for rehearsals. The London concert series was a big deal, but Judy was not up for it. The movie deals with her relationships – both good and bad- at the time. Hopefully Renee will have a long chat with Lorna Luft, Judy’s younger daughter, who wrote in great detail about that time period in her fascinating book Me and My Shadows.
