TOM HARDY NEVER GIVES US ENOUGH FACE

Okay, we have to admit we are STARVED for photos of Tom Hardy without a beard. In his recent movies he’s always had his face covered with ugly masks or whatever – why hire a good-looking actor to play such a role? Tom is currently promoting his Venom movie in which he turns into another monster. The only time we could REALLY enjoy looking at him was when he played the Kray twins in Legend…

BEN STILLER’S DAUGHTER ELLA: A CHIP OFF THE OLD BLOCK?

Ben Stiller looked very fatherly with his daughter Ella, 16, at the New York premier of Free Solo – a documentary about a successful mountain climber. Ben and his wife Christine Taylor surprised everyone when they split last year, but recently they have been spending time together with their kids, Ella and her 13 year old brother Quinlin. Ella loves going to film related events with her father and since she IS third generation in an acting family, chances are she’ll follow in their footsteps…

PETE DAVIDSON IS IN LOVE WITH A PIGLET

Shopping obviously makes Pete Davidson happy. He and Ariana Grande recently adopted a tiny pet pig that they promptly named “Piggy Smalls.” Keep in mind, Ariana already has four dogs! Her fancy five bedroom apartment building must be very pet friendly – probably has its own dog walking area. It’s lucky that Ariana can afford lots of help – her Piggy probably won’t be house trained until it’s at least a year old. And pet pigs are notorious for becoming MUCH bigger than owners expect! Pete is already so enamored with the animal that he got a pig tattoo. These two DO lead a fun life!

SALLY FIELD: DID SHE OR DIDN’T SHE ATTEND BURT REYNOLDS’ FUNERAL?

Burt Reynolds happened to die at the right time for his ex-girlfriend Sally Field. She just released a memoir, In Pieces, which included some not–so-nice recollections of their romance (we think she was holding back,) and she’s been getting a lot of publicity. Good for her- Burt did NOT treat his women well. Sally admits she hasn’t spoken to Burt in 30 years. So why did Us Weekly report that she was at his funeral in West Palm Beach (home of The Enquirer) – she was the only celebrity in attendance, if she WAS there. Burt wanted to be buried in the driver’s seat of his 1977 Trans Am, but he didn’t leave enough money to pay for such a funeral, so he was sensibly cremated. We strongly DOUBT that Sally would have shown up, and are waiting for US to retract their mistake…

AL PACINO IS SINGLE AGAIN

You can’t miss Al Pacino, 78, in Beverly Hills – he usually wears black no matter what the weather is, and today he wore a black leather jacket and boots. Al, who has never been married, is single again – he and his girlfriend of several years, Lucila Sola, 42, have apparently split and haven’t been seen together for months. Lucila is an actress from Buenos Aires and she happens to have a beautiful model daughter, Camila Morrone, 21, who has been dating Leonardo DiCaprio, 43, a friend of Al’s. Isn’t it interesting how both mother and daughter prefer much older men? Small world…

JESSICA SIMPSON’S HAIR EXTENSIONS: BIGGER IS NOT BETTER!

No doubt Jessica Simpson is in a good mood because she’s pregnant with her third child and that means she can eat pretty much ANYTHING she wants for a long time! And no guilt! That’s nice, BUT – these HUGE hair extensions are beyond awful – not only fake looking, but sadly out of style- ESPECIALLY in NYC! We realize Jessica is in the business of SELLING these extensions, but it’s hard to imagine anyone running out to buy them when they see this photo!

BEST EMMY COUPLE: SCARLETT JOHANSSON AND COLIN JOST

Okay, we have to admit we love seeing Scarlett Johansson, 33, and Colin Jost, 36, as a couple. Scarlett has, indeed, made a few mistakes man-wise through the years. Her two year marriage to Ryan Reynolds was short and sweet, but he’s always seemed like a nice guy. Scarlett’s biggest mistake was 24 years older Sean Penn. He had her mesmerized for awhile, but luckily she wised up and moved on. Colin is smart (a Harvard grad) – he edited his school papers and got his writing job at SNL right after he graduated. And they LOOK right together (he always looks like he died and went to heaven!)

DUANE AND BETH CHAPMAN LOBBYING CONGRESS NOT TO END CASH BAIL SYSTEM

Dog the Bounty Hunter Duane Chapman and his wife Beth partied in Hawaii at the Hawaii 5-0 Magnum PI Anniversary Premier event and Beth appears to be back in good health. Last year she was diagnosed with throat cancer and lost a lot of weight during treatment. She happens to be president of the National Bail Bonds Association and she and her husband are actively lobbying against a bill in congress that will end the cash bail system and put bondsmen out of business.

A SIMPLE FAVOR IS ANYTHING BUT SIMPLE

What a delicious surprise! A Simple Favor is a movie written BY women ABOUT women and the male director didn’t louse it up – he got it just right! It has everything a woman wants in a movie – gorgeous fashion and style, beautiful architecture and design, smart conversation, sophisticated humor, compelling but hilarious characters, and a PLOT! Blake Lively rises to the occasion – her impossibly glamorous and darkly sarcastic character is SO on the mark – and Anna Kendrick is perfectly cast as a supposedly “innocent” mommy vlogger. Of course, what’s NOT to love about the astute and very decorative Henry Golding. Never a dull moment in this movie – don’t want to say more – just see it right away!

Afterthought: No WONDER Blake Lively has been wearing all those fabulous power suits…
