DO FANS LOVE DANNY TREJO FOR HIS ACTING OR HIS TACOS?

Machete star Danny Trejo, 75, admits he started out as a young criminal with a drug and drinking problem, and now he’s a movie star and an entrepreneur! Danny and his partners opened Trejo’s Tacos here in Los Angeles in 2016, and it was an instant hit. Since then he’s opened six more locations and added a Trejos Coffee & Donuts in Hollywood. Danny says his food is California influenced and healthier than other fast foods, with lots of vegetable options. Expanding outside of California is next, but Echo Park born Danny still has time to visit local high schools to tell kids all about what he did WRONG when he was their age, and hopefully inspire them.

KATE HUDSON: WORST DRESSED THIS WEEK

The Girl Hero Awards Luncheon happened this week and it was sponsored by H&M. Actors Cara Delevingne, 27, Kate Hudson, 40, and Jameela Jamil, 33, were all honored as women actively defending gender equality. Cara is appropriately attired in a fun jumpsuit, Jameela looks adorable in her schoolgirl look, but what happened to Kate? That saggy satin dress would be an eyesore at cocktail hour, much less an H&M LUNCHEON!

WILL RIHANNA END UP IN A BURKA LIKE JANET JACKSON?

Rihanna is looking better than ever as she arrives a charity event in New York. Frankly, we have been worried that she would end up like Janet Jackson. Remember when Janet started dating her Arabic billionaire boyfriend Wissam Al Mana, her style gradually started to change. She wore headscarves and flowing clothes. By the time she was married, Janet was wearing large black outfits with black head coverings – like a burka (implying surrender to a male-dominated culture.) It was horrifying. We hope Rihanna’s Saudi sweetheart Hassan Jameel does not influence HER this way…

Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson are filming a romantic comedy, Marry Me, in New York, and of course there’s a bulldog in the cast. The plot deals with a pop star who finds out her fiancé is cheating, minutes before their huge wedding at Madison Square Garden. FULL SPEED AHEAD FOR QUINCY

For a drop-dead gorgeous guy, Quincy Taylor Brown, now known simply as “Quincy,” manages to keep very busy. He’s not only a model, singer, and songwriter, but an up and coming actor. He’s currently working on the TV series Star. But the 6’2″ hunk also has a watch line, a jeans collection, and a start-up tech company, as well as his own production company. Of course, having Sean Combs as an adoptive father (Kim Porter was his mom) opens a few doors, but Quincy, 28, looks more than ready to walk through them.

KIEFER SUTHERLAND IS NOW A COUNTRY OUTLAW

Who knew Kiefer Sutherland yearned to be a cowboy? He has evolved from playing the US President on Designated Survivor to country rocker with his own band. Kiefer is now touring quite successfully in Europe with his new album, appropriately titled Reckless & Me. He’s written a lot of music about his own life so it’s highly suitable for drinking, and he’s well received in the bars where he performs. WHAT DO HALSEY AND PARIS JACKSON HAVE IN COMMON?

Rain or shine, Halsey is more than ready to make a few bucks selling earbuds to her fans. To be specific, she’s in New York filming a commercial for Powerbeats Pro from Beats by Dre – they retail for around $250. We still are fascinated by the fact that Halsey considers herself to be black (not unlike Paris Jackson.) Halsey’s father is half black, but you’d never know it by looking at Halsey. Growing up, she didn’t have the same experiences as an African–American, but her career is hotter than ever.

ANOTHER G’DAY FOR PAUL HOGAN

Crocodile Dundee stars Paul Hogan and Linda Kozlowski are still friends in spite of the fact that they divorced in 2014. Paul and Linda met in 1986 when he cast her to costar in the hugely successful Crocodile Dundee movie that he wrote and starred in. They spent most of their time in Australia and had a son Chance (above left with Paul.) Chance, Linda, and her new boyfriend all got together in Venice, California to celebrate Paul’s 80th birthday.

DON JOHNSON STILL HAS WHAT IT TAKES

Miami Vice bad boy Don Johnson, 69, has grown into quite an attractive mature man – especially since he shaved off those grey whiskers. Don made his mark in the 80’s playing Crockett, a Miami cop who wore Versace suits with no socks. Johnson was catnip for numerous Hollywood actresses, including Barbra Streisand, and he got married several times. He walked away with a lot of money from his Nash Bridges TV series, and has been married to Kelley Phleger since 1999. He’s at the London premier of his new movie Knives Out, which is getting stellar reviews. Don is living proof that you can lead a wild life and end up still looking good…
