JENNIFER GARNER: IT’S ALL ABOUT THE KIDS

You can bet that Jennifer Garner has organized a full schedule of daily activities for her kids now that they are isolating at home. Certainly studying is first on the list every day – and it’s done under mom’s watchful eye. After the book work, exercise is a priority. Jennifer and the three kids either jog, walk, or bike ride together every day. In the evening they play games or watch movies together. They don’t see a lot of dad Ben Affleck, who lives close by, and when they do, he keeps his distance. Besides, Ben is quite busy with his new girlfriend Ana de Armas.

MEGHAN MARKLE IS PULLING ALL THE RIGHT STRINGS

Personally, we have always felt that Meghan Markle was too good for Prince Harry. She had a successful and fun life as an actress with all kinds of opportunities ahead of her. Harry seems like a decent but very average guy and his life as a royal was posh but stifling. So we were thrilled when Meghan talked Harry into leaving the royal family behind and establishing a life of their own in the USA. At least she can continue acting! Certainly that’s the biggest reason they moved to LA. (Maybe the climate was also appealing!) Paparazzi here will be WORSE than the UK, so we know THAT’S not the reason they left. Harry is actually a very lucky guy- Meghan rescued him from a dull future. And she rescued herself from being FORCED to wear silly hats…

SHIA LABEOUF IS REBUFFED BY COPS!

Shia LaBeouf became irate when he noticed a photographer in the street in front of his house. He confronted him and threatened to call the police if he did not leave immediately. The paparazzo insisted he wasn’t breaking any laws and refused to cooperate. So Shia planted himself in front of the guy’s car so he COULDN’T leave, while he called the cops. Surprisingly, police DID arrive, and calmly evaluated the situation. And came up with a sensible solution. They suggested that Shia go back into his house!

GOLDIE HAWN AND STEPSON BOSTON RUSSELL CATCH SOME RAYS

Goldie Hawn seems to get out in the sunshine almost every day, and today she took a brisk walk with stepson Boston Russell. Boston, 39, is the son of Kurt Russell and Season Hubley. Their marriage only lasted a few years and there were rumors that beautiful actress Season had a substance abuse problem. Playing a pornstar in Hardcore might have contributed to the rumors. There were concerns when Boston was born that he had a problematic birth, but no details emerged. He seems to have no social media connections and there is no info about what he does for a living, so his life is a mystery. It IS nice to see that he is embraced by his half brothers and sister and included in the Goldie and Kurt family events.

KATHY GRIFFIN SURVIVED ANOTHER TRUMP DISASTER

Everyone was startled by Kathy Griffin’s sudden announcement that she was isolated in the hospital with “unbearably painful symptoms” and unable to get a coronavirus test. In an interview with the LA Times, she slammed the president’s coronavirus response and blamed him for lack of testing. Ever since this revelation, we’ve been wondering WHAT Kathy’s alarming symptoms WERE. Turns out she had an abdominal infection, which has been treated, and she is now at home. She’s not alone- her 19 years younger husband Randy Bick (he’s also her road manager) is taking good care of her.

TIMOTHEE CHALAMET’S HEROIC GESTURE

Can’t WAIT to read Woody Allen’s new book Apropos of Nothing– by the way, you cannot buy it from Amazon. In the book, Woody talks about filming A Rainy Day in New York with Timothee Chalamet. Not long after they wrapped, Timothee got an Oscar nomination for the movie Call Me By Your Name. At that time it was shocking when Timothee publicly stated he regretted working with Woody, and was giving his salary to charity. Woody says Timothee told his sister that he needed to do that because his agent felt he had a better chance of winning if he denounced Woody, so he did! Other actors followed suit. Timothee did not win the Oscar, and Woody remarked that he only pays union minimum salary to his actors so donating it was not actually such a “heroic gesture.” Woody’s movie was released in Europe, but Amazon refused to release it here.

OLIVIA WILDE IS NOW OFFICIALLY IN DEMAND AS A DIRECTOR

While her significant other, Jason Sudeikis, is hauling in the trash cans, Olivia Wilde has a lot to be happy about. She just pulled off a lucrative deal with Searchlight Pictures for a movie she will produce and direct called Perfect. It’s about female Olympic gymnast Kerri Strug and a number of studios were interested and bidding for rights. Olivia proved her worth with the first feature she directed, Booksmart, which won her an Independent Spirit Award. Nice to see women making movies ABOUT women…

PEE-WEE HERMAN WILL NEVER GET OLD!

Hollywood celebrities are NOT happy since most of the plastic surgery offices have closed down for nonessential procedures due to coronavirus. Social isolation would be the perfect time to recover from a facelift! There are some nurses making house calls with injectibles, but no liposuction or nose jobs are happening. Maybe Paul Reubens could offer some inspiration – for his last Pee-wee Herman movie, Pee-wee’s Big Holiday in 2016, Paul wanted to look younger without surgery, so he used the tape technique you can see above.

CHRIS PINE IS QUENTIN TARANTINO’S FAVORITE ACTOR

You can tell that Chris Pine’s girlfriend Annabelle Wallis is from the UK because she’s wearing a tweed coat in LA. It’s also clear that Chris is an LA guy because he combined a cashmere hoody with Birkenstock sandals. They were photographed approaching Gelsen’s market with some trepidation today, but they walked out smiling, having found most of what they wanted, with no indication of hoarding. We didn’t realize that Star Trek star Chris, 39, is Quentin Tarantino’s favorite actor “in his age range.”

HELENA BONHAM CARTER HAS BUILT A FASHION REPUTATION

We have to smile every time we see The Crown’s Helena Bonham Carter! We have fond memories of meeting her way back in the 80’s when she appeared on the red carpet of the Oscars for her movie A Room With a View. It was her first time at the Oscars and she was extravagantly dressed and stuck out like a sore thumb, so we HAD to meet her. She was very funny and in awe of the celebrities around her. Through the years we’ve watched her bold fashion eccentricity grow and her career as well. She and Tim Burton were a couple for 13 years, (living in separate houses!) they had two kids and split in 2014. Her new boyfriend, writer Rye Dag Holmboe, (above) is 21 years younger.
