Barely a week after Meghan Markle celebrated her 44th birthday at Funke in Beverly Hills on August 4, the place caught fire and temporarily closed!  Meghan described her birthday meal as one of the 5 BEST in her life, and when she heard the place was damaged by fire, she reached out to the owner/chef, Evan Funke, about opening up an offshoot in Montecito.  Although the restaurant is only going to be temporarily closed, Meghan and her husband Prince Harry are still trying to persuade Evan to open a restaurant near their home, and are even willing to invest.
