Our gal isn’t just on the A-list – she’s a bonafide Hollywood legend, with countless awards, lifelong fame and a decades-long successful career. She is no spring chicken, but still looks amazing for her advanced age, and is still a working actress. She does have a secret though – she’s addicted to powerful painkillers. She injured herself within the past year or so, and was prescribed the painkillers. Now she can’t seem to get off of them. Given her age, her personal physician refuses to continue writing prescriptions, so she’s become a regular at her local ER, complaining of back pain, joint pain, neck pain – or any other pain she can think of, to get her hands on the medication.

Oh boy, this really does sound like Meryl. I remember quiet comments* years ago when she and her husband split about a possible drinking problem. Maybe she has addiction issues, if so, I do hope she gets help.
