HERE’S WHAT WE KNOW
The biggest story of the week was the bloodbath ending of The White Lotus season three. Aside from all of the previous scoops we told you, here’s what we know. The finale shattered ratings and creator Mike White thanked the cast for their hard work ( 7 months of filming in Thailand isn’t as glamorous as it sounds!) by sending the main characters the same thank you gift. Fun fact: Despite their screen time, each cast member is paid the exact same amount per episode to create equality, since the LAST thing Mike wants is tension on the set during the many months of filming. This time around Mike sent each cast member monogrammed Goyard travel bags (they go for approximately $5k) as a token of his appreciation.
Speaking of The White Lotus, we just heard that although the location and cast is still being determined, pop star turned actor Harry Styles is up for a role of a character who is equally as famous as he is in real life, but with a very dark secret. It’s far from a done deal, but don’t be too surprised if Harry’s name is on the list once the new cast is revealed later this year or in early 2026.
Jean Smart’s Hacks made the news for the release of season 4. As we already told you, expect Delta Burke to appear on an episode. Now we just heard Jean is also trying to get her other Designing Women costar, Annie Potts, to appear next season. This season is already in the can, and if the show is renewed ( which is basically a sure bet) you can look for Annie in season five.
Russell Brand probably wasn’t too happy about being in the news after getting charged with sex crimes in London. Here’s what we know. His ex-wife, Katy Perry, has been informed that if the case goes to trial she will be asked to testify as a witness to some of his behaviors. Katy can’t be forced to testify since the charges were issued in another country, but nonetheless she will be asked. We are hearing that Katy intends to use any legal advantage to avoid getting dragged into Russell’s mess – whether overseas or in the US if charges are eventually filed here.
RHOBH Teddi Mellencamp made headlines when she revealed on her podcast, Two T’s In a Pod, that her famous father, singer John Mellencamp, is already planning her burial at a family plot in Indiana. Here’s what we know. Optimistic Teddi has every hope of winning her health battle and she isn’t giving up despite the bleak prognosis, but she’s also practical. She revealed on her podcast that she updated her will, but what she did NOT tell you is that she already laid out SPECIFIC arrangements for her memorial service/celebration of life. When her time eventually comes (and we are hoping it’s a long way away) Teddi has specific instructions for who she wants AT the service and who she DOESN’T. While Teddi didn’t tell our source who’s off the guest list, we have a hunch it’s some of the housewives she didn’t get along with.
Cher’s estranged son, Elijah Blue Allman was in the news when his wife, Marieangela King filed for divorce. Readers might remember that Marieangela previously claimed that Cher KIDNAPPED Elijah to keep him from her. Well what we just heard didn’t surprise us one bit – no one was happier by the divorce filing than Cher, and now she’s working overtime to repair her relationship with Elijah, relying on her other child, Chaz Bono to play peacemaker. As our source explained, Cher wants peace in her family at this stage in her life ( hard to believe she’s almost 80) and since Chaz has a good relationship with Elijah Cher wants them to smooth things over and get the family reunited.
