SCARY SPICE HAD A SCARY MARRIAGE TO A FAKE BELAFONTE

At least SOMETHING GOOD has come out of Mel B “Scary Spice’s” abusive marriage to Stephen Belafonte. It seems Melanie has been recognized with an MBE award in the UK for her commitment to helping women suffering from domestic violence. We could never figure out what she saw in the guy. His real name was Stephen Stansbury and when he moved to LA from New Jersey, he changed his last name to Belafonte, hoping to pose as Harry Belafonte’s son. It did open a few doors. We were horrified to hear from people in his home town that he had taken a brick and violently killed a mallard duck he found his front yard in New Jersey before he left. He already had a record of burglary and assault. A waitress at the Rainbow bar on Sunset told me that Stephen and Mel were in the habit of sitting at the bar, trying to pick up pretty girls for “threesomes.” But it was not all fun and games. Mel started showing up for work on TV shows with cuts and bruises. Her friends begged her to dump the husband. Eventually she wised up and divorced the fake Belafonte- the sleazy guy now calls himself a “producer.”

MELANIE “SCARY SPICE” BROWN IS BRUTALLY HONEST ABOUT HER LIFE

Mel B just released her autobiography Brutally Honest and it proves that she IS one of the wildest sex & drugs celebrities from her era. We remember back in the early 2000’s when she and Stephen Belafonte would prowl the Rainbow on Sunset for pretty girls to take home for threesomes. (How she could marry a guy who changed his name to Belafonte in hopes of passing for Harry Belafonte’s son, is a mystery.) She talks about it in her book, but what MOST surprised us was Mel calling Eddie Murphy the love of her life. Their romance might have lasted, but she got pregnant and that spoiled everything. Her divorce is costing a fortune, so Mel (AKA Scary Spice) is lucky that the Spice Girls are starting a concert tour next June.

MELANIE BROWN’S DIVORCE: THE EMBARRASSMENT HAS JUST BEGUN

Mel B cheered herself up with a new set of super-long extensions and looks happy arriving on the set of her new movie. You’d never guess she was in the middle of what might turn out to be the most scandalous divorce in memory. Her estranged husband Stephen Belafonte (not his birth name) is a sleazy con artist with a police record and he plans to make her suffer. Already there is talk of extortion and sex tapes, a pregnant nanny, and now the old girlfriends that Stephen brutalized are threatening to tell all. Mel and Stephen were both into kinky three-way sex and there are plenty of potentially talkative third parties. Obviously Mel was blinded by sexual attraction when she agreed to marry Belafonte and later she says she was afraid to leave. This outrageous divorce is destined to make Brangelina look like kid stuff.

Melanie Brown has been estranged from her family and most friends since she wed Stephen “Belafonte” nine years ago. What does Melanie Brown REALLY know about her new husband who calls himself Stephen Belafonte? If, indeed, his real name is Stephen Stansbury, the dirt just keeps piling up. Does she know about his criminal record in New Jersey, San Diego, and LA? In Beverly Hills it was assault with a deadly weapon, in Hollywood it was vandalism and assault on a roommate. Does she know how many EX-WIVES and GIRLFRIENDS have charged him with assault and battery? He’s lived in four apartments in LA and the con artist was EVICTED from each one for not paying rent. He was 86’d from Skybar for some sort of credit card “problem.” He served time in jail for trying to alter his computer police records. In 1997, he was married for three months until his wife charged him with battery. In the past he has tried to pass himself off as Dionne Warwick’s nephew and Harry Belafonte’s son. Need we say more?

Keep in mind, Melanie showed up at The X Factor with unexplained bruises recently and no wedding ring. THAT’S WHY HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE CELEBRATING!

We’re posting this photo to see if it gets Melanie Brown’s husband in trouble. Stephen Belafonte was acting very interested in his phone, but according to an eyewitness he was actually WITH this woman as they arrived at Chateau Marmont. A relative? A friend of Mel’s? Or something else? Mel B, a judge on America’s Got Talent, IS open minded about a lot of things. She and her husband Stephen would often invite friendly, attractive women (but not men) to come home with them during nights out on the town – presumably for some fun and games!

He left with a blonde girl and when he saw the paparazzi he threw a coat over her head and led her like a blind person. Odd, but we don’t think he necessarily was cheating on his wife. Fact is, Stephen and Mel often invite pretty women to come home with them for threesomes! An attractive source who worked at one of the fun couples favorite hangouts told us the pair invited her over for three way fun and games more than once.

MELANIE BROWN’S HUSBAND BRAWLS TO “DEFEND HER HONOR”

Jovial drinks at the bar of the fancy May Fair Hotel in London ended up in a brawl thanks to Melanie “Scary Spice” Brown’s temperamental husband Stephen Belafonte. Bar patrons said everyone was having a pleasant time (Mel was in the hall talking to friends) when there was an “explosion of violence” and Stephen jumped on another bald guy at the bar and they rolled on the floor cursing, punching, and kicking. Stephen had his sweater ripped off and the other baldie hit his head on a coffee table and was bleeding profusely. Mel watched in horror as three hotel staffers pulled them apart. Stephen begged the photographer to delete the pics he took but when police and paramedics arrived the snapper slipped away. Belafonte claimed the fight started because the other guy made a lewd comment about his wife. Maybe, but Belafonte (not has real name) has a history of violence AGAINST women, not IN DEFENSE of them. He’s been charged with violence against ex girlfriends under his real name, Stansbury. Mel and her questionable husband are in London to promote her new reality series “Mel B: It’s a Scary World.” Too bad TV cameras weren’t around for this incident.

Most of Mel B’s friends, plus her own mother, are hoping that rumors about Mel and her husband Stephen “Belafonte” splitting up are TRUE! Since Melanie married her con man over two years ago, her friends have been praying she’d come to her senses. After all, it turned out Stephen has criminal records in San Diego, New Jersey, and Los Angeles – – mostly for assault and battery on wives and girlfriends, with a few credit card and eviction problems thrown in. He tried to pass himself off as Harry Belafonte’s son, but his real last name is Stansbury. Not only that, but he cheats and chases other women every time Mel turns her back. Unfortunately, Mel is addicted to his hot lovin’ so she’s been blind to his defects. The couple was out the other night, but refused to talk about their relationship.

Melanie “Scary Spice” Brown and her husband Stephen “Belafonte” went to The Rainbow on Sunset and ordered some dinners to go downstairs. While they were waiting, Stephen headed toward the mens room, but ran up to the upstairs bar and hit on 3 blonde women, one at a time. He was heard telling one that he was “Harry Belafonte’s nephew” and he’d like to call her sometime. He sweet talked, offered to buy them drinks and got 3 phone numbers. “Lets get together sometime.” One girl mentioned his wife and he shrugged “We have an understanding.” He left pocketing the numbers, and dashed downstairs as Melanie was paying for the food. Whether he was cheating on his wife – or lining up three-ways for her, depends on your imagination.

THE IVY CHOKES ON A GLUT OF CELEBRITIES

On Sunday The Ivy was packed with celebrities yearning for publicity and attention. They all sat outside (at separate tables) as close to the paparazzi as possible and ironically they all walked out at once. Imagine the chaos as celebrities collided with valet parking attendants, pedestrians, fans and photographers in front of the restaurant! Camera loving Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, Mel B and her questionable husband Stephen Belafonte, and the ubiquitous Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt all posed together as if they were old friends. Ozzy looks slimmer, and Heidi made sure her Chanel gloves and Hermes bag were prominently featured.
