MARTHA STEWART AND SNOOP DOGG ARE STARTING A BUSINESS TOGETHER

As shocking as this sounds, it actually makes perfect sense if you think about it. Hostess with the mostest Martha Stewart is going into the pot business (and we’re not talking cookware!) with her unlikely best friend, Snoop Dogg. While Martha isn’t known for imbibing, Snoop’s never hid his fondness for marijuana. Martha IS known for her green thumb though, so that’s why Snoop is teaming up with her. They’re calling their organically grown curated collection of pot, MarthaJane (since once common name for it is MaryJane). They’re working on all of the legalities now, but don’t be too surprised if you see Martha’s face on a package in your local dispensary!

SNOOP DOGG DRESSED LIKE AN ARISTOCRAT

Here’s something you don’t see very often – Snoop Dogg dressed to the nines in English riding gear. Especially unusual since Snoop has confessed to having a mortal fear of riding horses. The Olympics invited him to view their dressage equestrian competition and Snoop brought along his pal Martha Stewart since she is very experienced with horses. Martha encouraged Snoop to give the horses some carrots and they all got along. She also made sure that he was properly attired for the occasion and he looks good! But he couldn’t part with those sneakers…

Birthday Chevy Impala Snoop Dogg

SNOOP DOGG: THE CAR HE WOULD HAVE KILLED FOR, BACK WHEN HE WAS A CRIP!

Snoop Dogg celebrated his 50th birthday in extravagant style last night in Los Angeles. Most of the guys dressed like pimps from the 70’s and Snoop seemed especially thrilled by a gift from family members. During the festivities, a gorgeous (and enormous!) 1959 Chevy Impala convertible from his family was delivered to the party and the crowd gasped. The shiny bronze car was fully restored with every piece of chrome in place, and valued at around $200,000. (It’s the lowrider car he would have killed for, back when he was a Crip!) Snoop has come a long way since “Doggystyle”…

Gayle King Kobe Bryant Rape Snoop Dogg

SNOOP DOGG TARNISHED HIS REPUTATION

Sorry, but we can never look at Snoop Dogg quite the same after his horrific and gangster-like condemnation of journalist Gayle King for merely mentioning Kobe Bryant’s rape accusation. Yes, Kobe turned his life around and became a great guy after that transgression, but the truth is, he got away with rape and Snoop thinks that’s okay. There’s no doubt about Kobe’s guilt – the teen victim had purple marks on her neck from being choked. She was INTIMIDATED into not appearing in court (by people like Snoop?) so charges were dropped, but she did get money in a civil suit later. That’s how women were treated in those days, Snoop, but things have changed, and it’s time for you to evolve!

SNOOP DOGG: REAL MEN CARRY VUITTON HANDBAGS

Young or old, most rappers seem to enjoy flaunting their wealth in every way possible – jewelry, cars, and most surprisingly, designer handbags. (Pharrell thought nothing of carrying handbags and it got him a Chanel manbag ad campaign. Lenny Kravitz has been seen wearing a shoulderbag AND high heel boots!) ) It’s the old-school gangsta rappers that still surprise us when they carry designer bags. Snoop Dogg sauntered into Drake’s birthday party with “numerous female companions“ in this green tracksuit with shoelaces to match, and a Vuitton crossbody shoulderbag.

SNOOP DOGG TRAVELS IN RED VELVET LUXURY

Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg left P Diddy’s birthday party this weekend together in this vehicle. It’s not often paparazzi get a peek INSIDE a celebrity’s private van – or whatever this is. Note the bountiful selection of junk food on the upper shelf. There’s also a lot of what appears to be men’s clothing – for a new look mid-party? An ordinary cooler sits on the floor and the whole interior seems to be red and black velvet. We’re guessing this is Snoop’s custom transportation – he looks quite at home…

SNOOP DOGG IS DRESSED TO KILL

And they say passengers don’t dress up for airplane flights like they used to! Snoop Dogg doesn’t mind being noticed in his jaunty attire as he rushes to catch a flight at LAX . We especially love the scarf bandanna tied on his head. If any fans get too carried away, Snoop has a burly friend right beside him. Snoop has a history of being “detained” at airports for having various contraband in his luggage, but apparently he has learned how to pack sensibly.

SNOOP LION LOOKED LIKE A NICE GUY IN HIGH SCHOOL – AND STILL IS

We love this clean-cut necktie photo of Snoop Lion (or Snoop Dogg) before he developed his dreadlocked persona. This is his senior yearbook photo from David Starr Jordan High School in Long Beach, California. Snoop, now 42, surprised his British fans when he made a DJ appearance at a nightclub there and chose to stay at a low budget Holiday Inn Express with his entourage! The hotel staff loved him and he posed for photos with them. What’s more, he left his room in perfect condition. No rockstar antics there!

SNOOP DOGG MAKES PISTACHIO NUTS SEEM ILLEGAL

So far, Snoop Dogg’s (or is it Lion?) ad for Paramount Farms pistachios has been the most controversial and successful. Censors were so outraged by his drug-implied ad (he pours pistachios out of a pill bottle and calls it “habitual”) that it was banned by the networks. Snoop’s “Get crackin”” ad is limited to cable and online. Being banned is probably the best thing that could happen – his ads are more successful than the ones done by Snooki, The Village People, and Homer Simpson for the same pistachio campaign.

Customs Money Norway Snoop Dogg

SNOOP DOGG ACCUSED OF SMUGGLING MONEY INTO NORWAY

Snoop Dogg’s European tour hit a snag when customs officials detained him at the border of Norway. No they didn’t find any drugs on him, it seems the rapper had TOO MUCH MONEY in his pocket. (What a nuisance!) If a visitor carries more than $5000 in cash into the country, it has to be declared. Snoop was interrogated for two hours before he was allowed to continue, and he arrived late for an Adidas store signing.
