SIMON MONJACK EMPTIED BRITTANY’S BANK ACCOUNTS BEFORE HE DIED

We weren’t surprised to learn that Simon Monjack was spending his late wife Brittany Murphy’s money as fast as could until he died in May. Brittany’s former financial advisor says that Simon drained Brittany’s pension fund and bank accounts of hundreds of thousands of dollars at a time. 80% of her hard-earned money is now gone, leaving her mother Sharon (above, right) with a financially insecure future. After Simon was found dead in the same mysterious circumstances as Brittany, his mother stepped in and now the two mothers in law are at odds over the remaining money. Both mothers are watching with interest the investigation into whether mold might have contributed to the deaths of Brittany and Simon.

SIMON MONJACK’S DEATH: THE BRITTANY MURPHY MYSTERY DEEPENS

It makes one shudder to think that TWO seemingly healthy people died suddenly from ”natural causes” within a few months in Brittany Murphy’s house. Brittany and her much-maligned husband Simon Monjack were both found dead and surrounded by prescription pill bottles that may or may not have contributed to their deaths. Brittany’s mother, who found both bodies, should think about moving into a hotel immediately. Brittany’s estranged father and brother are making vague comments like “The truth will come out” and “You’d be surprised by what was going on in that house.” We’re certainly curious.

SIMON MONJACK AND BRITTANY MURPHY’S MOTHER ARE COOKING SOMETHING UP

Brittany Murphy’s husband Simon Monjack and her mother, Sharon, are still thick as thieves and teaming up to write a book on the late actress’s life. Simon and Sharon has become extremely close since Brittany’s December 20th death – SO close that friends are taken aback. Simon has vehemently DENIED that they are romantically involved. But they ARE rushing to write a book about Brittany before somebody else does. They’ve already approached a couple of publishers with a book outline. (In our opinion, these two look more like an appropriate couple than Simon and Brittany ever did.)

BRITTANY MURPHY SHOULD NOT HAVE DIED

We wonder how Brittany Murphy’s family feels about the results of her autopsy. They had insisted she was very ill when she died and drugs were not a factor. It turns out she WAS seriously ill with pneumonia and anemia and that PLUS prescription drugs were the lethal combination. The fact that she had not seen a doctor and was obviously self- medicating indicates that she was not taking care of herself and no one was insisting that she do so. If she were living alone this might be more understandable, but people who loved her were in the same house. It’s strange. And terribly sad.

We’re truly saddened by the loss of Brittany Murphy at the age of 32 – we’ve loved her ever since “Clueless.” She was a sweet girl who always seemed to be searching for happiness and we have to confess we weren’t thrilled by her choice of husbands. UK writer Simon Monjack just never seemed like her type and gave us an uneasy feeling. We were NOT happy to learn that the sudden marriage took place a month after he was arrested for having an expired visa. He was described by many as a “con man” and “grifter.” Our uneasy feeling accelerated on November 29 when Simon had to be removed from a flight that arrived at LAX from Puerto Rico and he was taken to the hospital, described as “incoherent.” Brittany insisted it was “asthma.” After her mother discovered Brittany collapsed in the shower and paramedics were working to revive her lifeless body, a neighbor reported that Simon was staggering around, dazed, in pajama bottoms, and didn’t go near the gurney. Will he inherit all her money? There’s a LOT more to this story than meets the eye.

Two years later, Brittany Murphy’s unexpected marriage to screenwriter Simon Monjack is still going strong. Considering the fact that Brittany, 32, dated Ashton Kutcher before she hooked up with Simon, he IS an odd choice. We’re guessing Brittany is the breadwinner here since the last project Simon seems to have worked on was the not-so successful “Factory Girl.”

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF BRITTANY MURPHY

Happy Feet, the animated penguin movie, held a press junket at the Beverly Regent Hotel and Brittany Murphy showed up as a last minute surprise. Brittany arrived looking “shockingly emaciated” but she was bubbly and sweet to all. A mountain of Loius Vuitton luggage followed her into her suite. Journalists from all over the country waited expectantly in the hall while Brittany prepared for her series of short interviews. Rack after rack of clothing were rolled into her suite, followed by “forty or fifty pairs of Jimmy Choo shoes.” Hairdressers with bags of hair, makeup people, PR people, and fashion stylists crowded in. Cigarette smoke wafted out of the room whenever the door was opened. Room service delivered coffee and a tray of petite peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with crusts cut off . An hour later when the tray was removed, there were only three tiny sandwich triangles eaten. Massive preparation meant that exhausted journalists waited HOURS for Brittany to appear, but when she did, she charmed them.
