This isn’t a We Told Ya So, but more of a “we knew what we were talking about. ” Back on September 4, we wrote this in our weekly Here’s What We Know recap:
Taylor Swift made the news when the commissioner of the NFL announced she basically had an open invitation if she wanted to ever perform at the Super Bowl during halftime. We know this. Taylor has already been in talks with the NFL about starring in the halftime show in 2026, but a deal has yet to be worked out – and here’s why. The performers don’t get paid (although some of their expenses are covered) for doing the show as it’s considered an honor, and while Taylor certainly doesn’t need the money, she wants the league to make a generous donation to one of her preferred charities. If that can be ironed out, she will be the headliner and the ratings will be HUGE.
Well, guess what – the NFL refused to meet her demands (like we told ya, weeks before anyone else) and she respectfully declined. See link…
Bad Bunny was just announced as the halftime performer and since he’s not yet as popular or famous as Taylor, he obviously didn’t have any demands for the NFL to meet.
