Makes sense that Rob and Michelle talked about mistakenly listening to the “experts” with all kinds of degrees (probably at pricey rehabs). Somebody should have ruled out schizophrenia back when he was a teen. Poor kid was likely self-medicating with drugs to keep the hallucinations at bay.
