Years ago, whenever she was in Hollywood, Catherine Deneuve could be seen at the local flea markets shopping on Sunday mornings. We would often run into her (sometimes reaching for the same item) and she was always pleasant and friendly. Jean Paul Gaultier was the first Paris designer we fell in love with – he wasn’t flashy , but he was outrageous , and worth saving up for. They came together at Gaultier’s couture show in Paris.
