BRITNEY SPEARS GETS PAID TWICE AS MUCH AS GWEN STEFANI

Is anybody else surprised that Britney Spears is worth TWICE the price of Gwen Stefani? Simon Cowell is desperate to save his disappointing “X Factor” show and he’s paying top dollar to restaff. He’s heard that NBC is planning to schedule their huge hit “The Voice” as his competition and THAT could be fatal. He dumped Paula Abdul, who pulled in 2.5 million, and he’s replacing her with Britney Spears for over 15 million dollars. Now he’s hot to add Gwen Stefani to be backstage host, replacing Steve Jones, and her price tag is estimated at 5 to 7 million. – HALF of Britney’s. We’re thinking that Britney‘s appeal is her potentially unpredictable behavior, while Gwen has the glam factor. It sounds like Simon has very deep pockets.

HYPOCHONDRIAC SIMON COWELL WANTS TO LIVE FOREVER

X-Factor producer and judge, Simon Cowell, was a regular at the Whole Foods in Hollywood near CBS – clerks joked that he bought extreme amounts of vitamin supplements and alternative health products. Cowell just revealed to GQ that he is, indeed, a hypochondriac, and drinks three smoothies for breakfast every day containing almost every potent fruit and vegetable. Not only is he an incredibly fussy eater but “He is given a weekly intravenous drip with B12, magnesium, vitamin C, and — in his words — “something for your liver.” The I.V. (suggested by Kylie Minogue’s sister) is administered after his skin is numbed, and sits in his arm for around thirty minutes, in meetings and even on set.” No wonder women find him rather hard to live with.

PERT PAULA ABDUL STARTS HER NEW JOB ON X FACTOR

Paula Abdul is in fighting shape to start her new TV career as a judge on “X Factor” (Above left.) She’s looking very svelte and her arms are particularly slim. We heard she had some laser treatments called Titan on her skin, including her arms, to tighten it up and apparently it worked. She looks better than ever.
