TERI HATCHER’S DAUGHTER EMERSON SHOWS NO SIGNS OF WANTING TO ACT – SO FAR

Former “Desperate Housewives” drama queen Teri Hatcher loves semester break when her daughter Emerson Tenney, 20, comes home from Brown University in Rhode Island, where she’s a junior studying literature and creative writing. Emerson’s dad is Scandal actor Jon Tenney. Teri and Emerson always make time for plenty of workouts together – they’ve been doing it for years. Emerson is already several inches taller than her 5’6” mom. Teri is currently appearing as a villain on Supergirl.

WE SHOULD ALL BE AS LUCKY AS TERI HATCHER

Former Desperate Housewife Teri Hatcher just looks SO happy having a father-daughter day touring Paris with her father Owen Hatcher. They visited several landmarks – a museum, the Palais Royal Gardens and Notre Dame, and they walked the Parisian streets, stopping for a pick–me-up at a patisserie. Owen is a retired nuclear physicist and Teri has been in Vancouver filming her new series Supergirl, in which she plays a villain. Teri’s parents moved from their northern California home to be closer to Teri and her daughter Emerson.

Life has changed a lot since Teri Hatcher ,52, starred as Lois Lane with Dean Cain in Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman back in the 90’s. In those days she was famous for being a very pampered and sometimes demanding actress. Now she’s hauling her own luggage! Teri’s arriving in Vancouver where she’s appearing on several episodes of Supergirl. But she’s not following in the tradition of former Lois Lanes playing the new Lois’s mother. Teri is playing some kind of mysterious villain. Her costars on Desperate Housewives would love this photo…

The former “Desperate Housewives” star keeps herself in sensational shape, but she still won’t win any popularity contests. Teri Hatcher didn’t exactly endear herself to her costars on any of the series she’s done. There were always rumors that she was difficult and inconsiderate but even more details emerged in the book “Behind the Curtain,” written by a Jay Leno producer. The producer described Hatcher as having two personalities – one was smart and charming, and the other was moody and demanding. You never knew which one you were going to get. Our favorite tidbit described how Teri was furious when she was bumped from a show appearance by President Obama and demanded a Louis Vuitton handbag to ease her pain. She got flowers.

TERI HATCHER DOESN’T WANT YOU TO KNOW SHE HAD A FLING WITH ANDREW DICE CLAY

Everybody makes mistakes. Teri Hatcher might have had a lapse of judgment back in 1993 when she filmed the movie “Brain Smasher” with Andrew Dice Clay. According to The Enquirer, Clay is now in the process of trying to sell his life story to publishers and he delights in telling about a fling he had with Teri when they costarred as lovers in the B movie. Teri can’t believe she EVER went out with Andrew Dice Clay and hoped the mistake was long forgotten, but it’s come back to haunt her. Clay, 53 still thinks Teri, 46, is hot and he’s proud of their history together. Plus, it might help him sell his book.

WE TOLD YOU SO: TERI HATCHER IS LEAVING DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES

There were many doubters when we wrote back on Feb 2, 2010, that Teri Hatcher’s character was going to be written off “Desperate Housewives.” Teri even denied it because SHE didn’t know it was going to happen. The show’s creator Marc Cherry fired Nicollette Sheridan without a backward glance, and he’s the one behind Teri’s departure. We told you that Marc didn’t think some of his actors were as “grateful” as they should be, and now we know who he was probably referring to. We surmise that when it became evident that Teri was leaving, Felicity Huffman packed her bags in a hurry.

MARC CHERRY FIRED NICOLLETTE SHERIDAN – CAN HE FIRE TERI HATCHER TOO?

We might be responsible for saving Teri Hatcher’s job on “Desperate Housewives!” This became apparent when Nicollette Sheridan filed her lawsuit against ABC for “wrongful termination.” Nicolette claims that the series creator Marc Cherry whacked her in the face when she questioned the script. Cherry supporters claim “He was prepping her for a scene involving a slap.” (The Winona Ryder excuse) Nicollette complained to ABC and apparently they swallowed the scene prepping story and found no merit to her claim. Her character was killed off not long after. Nicollette claims Marc was also abusive to Teri Hatcher, who also complained to ABC. Last summer we heard that Teri’s character was about to be written off the show too! Teri CAN’T be fired now, because that would strengthen Nicollette’s lawsuit. Cherry, who is accused of “gender violence” is described by our source as “Mercurial – and he doesn’t think some of his actors are as GRATEFUL as they should be. He thinks he did them a big favor by hiring them.”

TERI HATCHER’S “DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES” CHARACTER IS IN FOR A BIG SURPRISE

You’d never guess it by looking at her, but Teri Hatcher’s days on “Desperate Housewives” are numbered. (She and her daughter Emerson are in Beverly Hills, above) It’s a big secret, but Teri’s character will be written off the show sometime next season – and she may not know it yet. Teri’s storyline has pretty much run it’s course and producers want to shake things up a bit so they’re brainstorming to come up with an outrageous and unexpected departure for Susan Mayer.
