SUDDENLY DOLLY PARTON IS ALL OVER THE PLACE

Not only is 77-year-old Dolly Parton’s Thanksgiving Day halftime show during the Dallas Cowboys football game trending across social media, but the performance caught the eyes of some NFL bigwigs. Dolly dressed up in the Dallas Cowboys cheerleader uniform and sang her most popular songs, including Jolene and 9 to 5, while promoting her Rockstar album,. Her performance was SO well received that executives are trying to work her into the upcoming Super Bowl halftime show in Las Vegas on February 11. My football source says that although Usher is the headliner for the show, executives are planning to go big with guest performances and now Dolly is on their wishlist.

Project Runway host Heidi Klum, 44, and her Tokyo Hotel guitarist boyfriend Tom Kaulitz, 28, are both having the time of their lives. Tom can’t believe he’s actually dating the German model he drooled over as a teen, and Heidi is reliving her youth by dating a hot young German rockstar who can’t keep his hands off her. They’re both totally smitten and having a perfect summer. Heidi’s children seem to like Tom – they all went to Disneyland last week- and Tom has no problem hanging with the kids.

In a twisted way, Russell Brand seems to assume the fashion habits of the women he keeps company with. If you remember, when he was married to pop star Katy Perry, he looked like a rock star himself in black leather pants, biker boots, and vintage rock t-shirts. Since they split, he let his hair and beard grow out like a hippie, and he‘s dressing like a yoga instructor. (Makes sense, since he met artist Oriela Medellin Amieiro, above, in yoga class.) He’s looking mighty relaxed in his yoga pants, love beads, and HORRORS – leg warmers with flip flops! To top it off, he took Oriela shopping at the Crystalarium in West Hollywood and they left with a bagful of magic crystals….

THE UNLIKEABLE SEAN PENN HAS MADE A LIKEABLE MOVIE

Okay, so we’re not huge fans of Sean Penn, but sometimes we really like his work and the trailer for his new movie “This Must Be The Place “ has tickled our fancy. Penn plays an aging wealthy goth rockstar (think Robert Smith) ) living a boring life in Dublin until his estranged father dies back in America. He hasn’t seen his father in 30 years but the rocker flies to the USA to settle the estate, and he learns his father was tormented by an SS officer during the holocaust and the Nazi might still be alive in America. He sets out to find him and has many adventures in the process. Why are the plots of independent films so much more interesting than blockbusters?
