MATTHEW PERRY’S ASSISTANT IS READY TO TELL ALL

Matthew Perry’s longtime live-in assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa pleaded guilty to a charge in his death and now he’s leaning on the cast of Friends to come to his defense. While the alleged drug dealers, doctors, and enablers were also charged, Kenneth quickly cooperated with authorities and pled guilty, hoping for no jail time. Here’s why. Kenneth worked for Matthew for 25 years and saw him through countless battles of addiction. Although he admitted to injecting Matthew with Ketamine, he was only doing so at Matthew’s request, (after all, it’s hard to say no to the boss when your income and housing are at stake!) According to my source, Kenneth’s legal team is hoping to get the his former Friends costars to write letters in his defense, because they reportedly have seen Matthew be demanding and abusive to him while under the influence of drugs. And get ready for this: if he is sentenced to jail, Kenneth is thinking about writing a book about the quarter of a century he spent working with Matthew. As my source put it, he definitely knows where the bodies are buried, and he has a shovel ready to dig up the dirt.

MATTHEW PERRY’S REAL ESTATE IS SUFFERING – THANKS TO HIS BOOK

Is Matthew Perry’s former Century City condo cursed? In his autobiography, Friends, Lovers and The Big Terrible Thing, the late actor wrote about some DARK times in his penthouse condominium at The Century, one of the premier full service buildings in LA. Matthew eventually sold the condo to a tech billionaire, but the guy barely moved in before deciding it wasn’t for him, so he sold it to Rihanna for a loss. Now superstitious Rihanna isn’t sure SHE wants to move into the sprawling condominium, given the Matthew connection, so she’s thinking of selling it and might even have to take a loss. Even though he died elsewhere, the condo has a negative vibe since Matthew wrote about how unhappy he was there.

JENNIFER ANISTON AND COURTENEY COX WANT TO BUY MATTHEW PERRY’S HOUSE

Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox are teaming up to buy the $6 million home in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles where their Friends costar, Matthew Perry died. According to an insider, the gals  know that Matthew loved the house and don’t want it turned into an Airbnb for morbid looky-loos, because Matthew drowned in the pool. Since money is no object, they’re hoping to purchase the house,  redo the pool and  refurbish the outside.  Both girls have made renovating homes their side hustle, so this could be a lucrative project – they plan to donate any profits to the foundation in Matthew’s name. Since pulling permits from the city can be cumbersome, Jen and Courteney are trying to buy the home from Matthew’s estate ASAP so they can start the process. Smart move – the home has already been added to one of those celebrity bus tours and tourists have been seen snapping photos of the property.

MATTHEW PERRY COULD WIN A GRAMMY

Despite being in the entertainment industry for close to 40 years, the late Matthew Perry never won any of the big four awards – Oscar, Grammy, Emmy and Tony – but that’s about to change. As we previously revealed Matthew is to be acknowledged with an honorary Emmy – while that’s impressive, one of Matthew’s friends says he’d still want to WIN something. Now there’s a major behind the scenes push to get Matthew a posthumous Grammy for his audiobook recording of his memoir, Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing. My source says that Matthew is very likely to be included when the Grammy nominations are announced in November .

MATTHEW PERRY’S BATMAN COLLECTION IS UP FOR GRABS

Turns out the late Matthew Perry spent a considerable amount of his Friends’ fortune on Batman memorabilia. He identified with both Batman and his alter-ego Bruce Wayne – that’s why he often called himself “Mattman.” When he couldn’t sleep at night, he’d scroll on eBay for more Batman collectibles. Now his family is planning to auction off his collection to raise money for his drug and alcohol foundation. My source estimates that Mathew’s extensive collection of everything Batman could fetch millions at auctions for two reasons – many of the collectible items are rare AND the provenance of them being owned and treasured by Matthew increases the value. Though still in mourning, the family wants to focus on turning the proceeds from the auction into a cash infusion for the foundation they just launched. This IS what Matt would have wanted…

FRIENDS PROFITABLE CAST REUNION CALLED OFF

Our observant source – the same one who gave us the scoop about the Friends cast releasing a statement TOGETHER addressing Matthew Perry’s death – now shares this tidbit: The Friends cast was in top secret negotiations to reunite and film a TV commercial that was slated to air during next year’s Super Bowl. The game is being played in Las Vegas, so Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and of course, the late Matthew, were being courted to film a 60 second commercial promoting Vegas tourism with the tagline, “Have a Friendscation.” While it wasn’t a done deal, they were set to make a few MILLION each for one day’s work, but now with Matthew’s unexpected passing, the project is a no go.

MATTHEW PERRY HAD MORE FRIENDS THAN HE REALIZED

Hollywood is working overtime trying to figure out the best way to honor the late Matthew Perry. My source reveals the current plan is to petition to get Matthew a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame – two of his Friends costars, (Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston ) have already been honored. In addition, there’s talk of bestowing upon him a posthumous honorary Emmy – he was nominated 4 times but never won. Finally, HBO and their streaming service MAX are hoping to get his remaining Friends costars to film an hour long special. My source says that one is the most complicated, because his former cast mates DO want to honor his legacy, but it’s just too soon for them to decide exactly HOW.

WHY MATTHEW PERRY’S COSTARS ON FRIENDS HAVE BEEN SILENT

Countless celebrities have taken to social media to memorialize Matthew Perry after his unexpected death at 54 on October 28. His 5 Friends costars, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer have remained silent. According to my source the tight knit group is debating whether to issue a joint statement or individual ones. My source says that the group wants to schedule their statements so they are released at the same time. It’s likely to be the SAME statement but they’re all in such a state of shock and mourning that they’re changing their plans by the moment. My source expects something will be released today…

MATTHEW PERRY HAS AN ODD NEW JOB

While we are all for capitalism, we can’t help but wonder what’s up with Matthew Perry’s finances. The Friends star famously pocketed $1 million per episode during the show’s peak and he continues to make money with residuals (much like I Love Lucy, reruns of Friends seem to be airing 24/7 somewhere in the world.) And that’s WHY we are perplexed that’s he’s on the Cameo Business site: He will make a personal video endorsing your business or product for a $50,000 fee. While $50K isn’t chump change, it seems out of character that Matthew would sell a commercial endorsement for such a small amount UNLESS he was desperate for dineros. For perspective, his Friends costar Jennifer Aniston made millions and millions from her various endorsements for such products as Smart Water and Aveeno.
