MICKEY ROURKE: THAT’S WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR

Mickey Rourke and hairdresser Giuseppe Franco have been friends for decades – in fact Mickey helped Franco get celebrity clients when he was starting out in Beverly Hills. For the past few years, however, Mickey has been experimenting with wigs in various colors with limited success. For some reason Giuseppe doesn’t step in and improve Mickey’s hairpieces, but maybe that’s why they’re still friends…Mickey and Giuseppe hang out at Mulberry Street Pizzeria in Beverly Hills – Mickey likes to read the New York Post there.

THE HUMAN KEN DOLL WANTS MORE HAIR

There’s not much of his nose left to worry about, so Rodrigo “Human Ken Doll” Alves has started fretting about his hair. He flies around the world seeking better and more affordable cosmetic surgeons for his assorted self -improvements. Alves, 36, says he’s suffering from male pattern baldness and finds it quite depressing. He’s already had four hair transplants to lower his hairline and thicken his hair, but he appears to have added some hair extensions since we saw him last. He just arrived in Istanbul for another procedure, but didn’t mention exactly what it is. His wardrobe could use some improvement too…

MICKEY ROURKE: THAT’S WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR

Okay, we admit it- we have a weird fascination with Mickey Rourke’s evolving appearance. For quite awhile, Mickey’s ever-changing face (due to cosmetic surgery) was the focus of our curiosity. But for the past few years, it has been Mickey’s HAIR that attracts attention. He started with a few extensions and worked his way up to full wigs. It’s his odd placement of the hairpieces, even more than the odd style, that draws attention. In this photo he’s having a chat with his hairdresser Guiseppe Franco – how DOES Franco resist the urge to reach out and re-align that wig?

JOHN TRAVOLTA FINALLY CAME OUT OF THE CLOSET ABOUT HIS FAKE HAIR

What a relief! John Travolta, 64, has been dodgy about his hair loss for many years and it became a long-running joke. He must have a room full of hairpieces at home and a beautician on call to perfectly place them on his scalp. At the same time he endured plenty of teasing about his evolving “hairstyles.” He’s come a long way since he played the unforgettable pompadoured heartthrob Danny in Grease. When Travolta played Robert Shapiro in The People v. OJ Simpson, HE had far MORE hair than the real Shapiro did. Now the cat’s out of the bag, and we can all relax: John posted this photo of himself and daughter Ella, 18, over the holidays.

MICKEY ROURKE NEEDS HELP: SOMEBODY CALL GUISEPPE FRANCO!

For years, hairdresser (sometimes to the stars) Guiseppe Franco in Beverly Hills, has been a close friend and confidante of Mickey Rourke. Mickey can frequently be seen hanging at Franco’s salon or having lunch with Guiseppe at Caffe Roma. So, WHY is Mickey walking around in this godawful fake looking wig? Guiseppe should be ashamed for allowing his buddy to be seen like this.

MICKEY ROURKE NEEDS A NEW HAIRDRESSER

It’s difficult to fire your hairdresser when you’ve been friends for decades, but it’s time for Mickey Rourke to make a change. He’s given up on his own hair augmentation and taken to wearing wigs for the past few years. He has quite a variety in an assortment of colors, but they all share one trait- they look fake. And it’s not doing his career any good – his next two films are horror movies.

SYLVESTER STALLONE HAS THE HAIR OF A TWENTY YEAR OLD!

Sylvester Stallone, 70, just walked out of his favorite hair salon with a fresh new cut. The only thing is, his hair looks decades younger than he does! Of Course, the Rocky star is in great shape, but his hair is so thick it makes one wonder if there’s some form of augmentation going on. His hairline actually looks LOWER than when he was in his twenties! It’s very thick and not grey. He must have the best hair treatments that money can buy (remember he used growth hormones and steroids back in the day to maintain his physique.) He looks good – maybe a little TOO good…

ENRIQUE IGLESIAS IS WAY TOO ATTACHED TO THAT BASEBALL CAP

We’ve come to the rather sad conclusion that Enrique Iglesias wears a toupee – for special occasions. For the past few years he has rarely taken off that goofy baseball cap, (he even wears it when SWIMMING!) and we assumed he was having time-consuming hair transplants. But apparently that’s not the case – if Enrique poses for publicity photos or attends an award show he appears to have a very full head of hair. But that’s the only time you see it. On all other occasions he wears the cap. So he probably feels too self- conscious to wear the hairpiece all the time. (Above, Enrique looks sexy from the scalp down performing on Thanksgiving in the UK.)
