GUCCI’S AMAZING TWIN SHOW

Gucci pulled off a show during Milan Fashion Week that topped them all – including Kim Kardashian’s collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana. The Gucci show featured 68 pairs of IDENTICAL TWINS! Gucci’s Creative Director Alessandro Michele lived up to his title when he sent representatives to check out the yearly twins convention in Twinsburg, Ohio. Around two thousand identical pairs of twins show up, along with triplets and other multiples, plus curious onlookers. The twins selected for the Gucci show must have been THRILLED. During the show the audience was divided into two separate rooms. Audience members did NOT know they were watching twins until the finale when the screen dividing the room was lifted and models came together and joined hands with their siblings. Brilliant! (which is more than I can say for these pink outfits)

Adam Driver Gucci Lady Gaga Murder

LADY GAGA: A NEW YORK ITALIAN GIRL’S DREAM COMES TRUE

Lady Gaga’s dreams must have come true when she was cast in this Gucci movie, now filming in Italy. First of all, the character she plays, Patrizia Reggiani, the Italian socialite who married and later murdered Maurizio Gucci, is QUITE an eccentric. Patrizia was known to shop the fanciest neighborhood in Milan loaded with gaudy jewelry, movie star sunglasses, with a pet Macaw perched on her shoulder. She was described as having a “strong personality” and meddled relentlessly in her husband’s business. When he left her for another woman, she threatened to kill him several times, and finally hired a hitman to do it in 1995. Three hours after the shooting she had the girlfriend booted out of Maurizio’s house. She swears she’s innocent, but was convicted of the crime and is already out on parole, complaining that she has to shop at Zara now because she has no money. It all went to Maurizio’s children. Costarring in the film are Jeremy Irons, Jared Leto, and Al Pacino as other Guccis. Above, 5’1″ Lady Gaga (in white fur hat) and the ill-fated Mauricio (played by 6’2″ Adam Driver in white turtleneck) were filmed skiing in the Italian Alps in happier days.

Gucci Lady Gaga Murder Platform Shoes

NOBODY WALKS IN PLATFORMS BETTER THAN LADY GAGA

Lady Gaga might have walked out of her Rome hotel unrecognized if it weren’t for those astonishingly high platform shoes. It’s amazing that she isn’t hanging on to anyone or anything with those bumpy streets. Mariah Carey always needs several men to help her walk when she wears similar shoes. Gaga is In Italy filming her scandalous Gucci movie – it’s based on a book titled The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed. Gaga stars as Italian socialite Patrizia Reggiani, the ex-wife of Maurizio Gucci, grandson of the Gucci founder. Patrizia was tried and convicted of arranging the bloody assassination of her husband in 1995. Note that Gaga’s not wearing a single piece of Gucci – even her handbag is Valentino.

WHAT HAPPENED TO JARED LETO?

Does anybody remember when Jared Leto was a sexy, good looking guy? It WAS a few years ago, when he was more of an actor than a musician. Recently he seems more interested in touring with his band Thirty Seconds to Mars, than acting, but he HAS been cast to play Andy Warhol in a movie about his life. Since Andy was not much in the looks department, maybe that’s why Jared hasn’t been looking so hot lately. (To put it mildly) Jared posted this photo of himself decked out in Gucci head to toe, and he has never looked worse. From that topknot to the socks and bedroom slippers, Jared has managed to make us forget he was ever a hot commodity.

Free Stuff Gucci Paris Jackson

PARIS JACKSON IS HARDLY IN NEED OF FREE CLOTHING

It’s easy to make assumptions when observing this outfit that Paris Jackson wore to the LACMA Film Gala. First, the gown is obviously Gucci and also WAY too covered up and serious for whimsical Paris. She lightened up the rather mature and elegant frock with flashy Gucci sneakers. A nice touch. We imagine that huge boxes of Gucci clothing (among other labels) are sent to Jackson FREE, in hopes that she will be photographed wearing them. Since she became an important “it” girl, Paris does not have to spend much of her 8 million dollar a year allowance from her father’s estate on clothing.

IS JARED LETO THE WORST DRESSED MAN IN THE WORLD?

30 Seconds to Mars singer Jared Leto wears skirts as often as he wears pants – sometimes both at once. He’s been called a maximalist (the opposite of a minimalist) because he creatively layers in unexpected combinations – often reminiscent of the better dressed homeless. GQ magazine has laughingly labeled him The Worst Dressed Man in the World but we are amused by his combination of designer Gucci and thrift store attire. (Gucci is also amused – they sponsor his tours.) We like the mixed plaid, but we can live without that Jesus hair and beard.

Bad Fashion Gucci Salma Hayek

SALMA HAYEK IS OVERDRESSED AND UNBALANCED

When it comes to fashion, Salma Hayek should be at the head of the pack since she’s married to a French fashion mogul with connections galore. But she took a few shaky steps backward and nearly fell on her face in this get-up. The Victorian inspired dress is designed by Gucci and comes heavily embellished with all the pearl frippery at the neckline. Tiny Salma is trying to balance out the mid-calf dress by wearing sky-high 8 inch heels, also by Gucci. Didn’t anyone tell Salma that being unable to walk without assistance is no longer in style? (Mariah Carey didn’t get the message either.) Modern women don’t like to be helpless.

CHARLOTTE CASIRAGHI IS AN URBAN COWGIRL

This is Charlotte Casiraghi competing in the “Style” round of the Gucci Masters in Paris. Her fashion theme is “urban fancy” and she’s wearing a baseball cap, gold chains and ghetto hoops, a hoodie, torn jeans, and glitter sneakers. Her horse is decorated with a dollar sign matching hers around his neck, a baseball cap, and graffiti. We didn’t realize horse shows had a sense of humor. Bruce Springsteen’s daughter Jessica rode in the same show with a Western style theme.

JESSICA SPRINGSTEEN: JERSEY GIRL MAKES GOOD

Bruce Springsteen’s daughter Jessica, 22, is now officially a member of high society, thanks to her equestrienne skills. For the past few years Jessica, a student at Duke University, has been doing competitive riding at the same posh European events and horse shows as Charlotte Casiraghi of Monaco. The Gucci company liked what they saw and signed her to be a spokesperson for their riding clothes along with Charlotte. Jessica will have a riding apparel collection dedicated to her. Blue collar Bruce has a daughter mingling with royalty.

In his first public appearance since the highly publicized Kristen Stewart cheating scandal, Rob Pattinson looked better than ever at the New York premier of his movie Cosmopolis. Certainly Kristen is gnashing her teeth at the sight of these photos and wondering if it was all worth it. With a little help from Gucci, Rob appeared immaculately composed and carefully avoided the forbidden subject. He was more overwhelmed by emotional fans than ever… (We still predict he will give Kristen another chance.)
