WILLIAM PETERSEN TOOK HIS TWINS TO THE GROVE TO SEE SANTA

CSI’s original star, William Petersen, lives in our neighborhood and we often walk our dogs past his house, hoping to catch a glimpse of him. (Little known fact: he turned down the role of Henry Hill in “Goodfellas.”) People who know him say he and his wife are exceptionally nice and the one time we bumped into him on his block, he was very friendly. He and his wife Gina Cirone were seen at The Grove today with their two year old twins.

In 2OOO, actor Gary Dourdan, now 45, landed a role on the new series CSI and his future couldn’t have been brighter. But in 2008 his contract was mysteriously not renewed on the hit show, and there were rumors of “personal problems.” Certainly he can be a scary guy – he’s been charged with battery against girlfriends more than once. After he left the show he was arrested several times for drug possession. Now he’s filing suit against Wells Fargo Bank, hoping to stop repossession of his Venice home because he hasn’t made payments. And it’s the second time this year that he has sued a bank for the same situation. A sad story, but evidently drugs have not been kind to the once successful actor.

JUSTIN BIEBER THE BRAT: TIME TO GET A GRIP

Despite his youthful looks, Justin Bieber is 17 years old and it’s time for him to grow up. After Justin’s recent appearance on CSI, the show’s star Marg Helgenberger playfully told a French interviewer that although Justin was nice to her in their only scene, she heard he was “kind of a brat” on the set. (He smashed a cake on the snack table and locked a producer in the closet.) No big deal. But Justin reacted like she called him some kind of monster. Playing the martyr, he made a huge deal out of being offended by her offhand comments and felt very sorry for himself for some reason. He tweeted on about “spreading gossip and rumors” and “respect.” Has he no sense of humor? Maybe he’s REALLY annoyed because his appearance on CSI didn’t bump the ratings like it was expected to.

DITA VON TEESE CAST ON CSI AS A SCHOOL TEACHER


Dita Von Teese has been cast to liven up a future episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and the role was written especially to showcase her talents. She plays a school teacher who has a fascination for forensics and she ends up in a romance with Eric Szmanda’s character Greg Saunders. Of course, there’s more to this teacher than meets the eye and Greg soon learns that she moonlights as a burlesque dancer named – Rita Von Squeeze. Greg was thrilled to have a big part in the episode and a hot romance to boot.

CSI Fans Justin Bieber Ratings

JUSTIN BIEBER’S FANATICAL FANS ABANDONED HIM THURSDAY NIGHT

A step BACK for Justin Bieber! Justin’s cameo on CSI’s Thursday premier did NOT pump up the ratings. The show usually debuts with 20 million viewers but despite high expectations, Justin only pulled in 14.6 million. The Mentalist beat CSI when Justin’s teenage fan base failed to tune in to see him act. (Despite his character’s problems, every hair was in place) It was a huge disappointment and it remains to be seen if Justin’s character will reappear on the show.

CBS USES JUSTIN BIEBER TO LURE YOUNGER VIEWERS TO CSI

CBS is straining to get younger viewers for CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, which is already a hit with adults, so they cast Justin Bieber in his first TV role as a troubled teen for the season debut. And they’re really milking his storyline – it will stretch over several shows and conclude near the end of the season. This weekend Justin tweeted this photo which he claimed is from the CSI set.
