It’s only fair to point out that Kylie Jenner’s Met Gala dress ranked a strong second on the Worst Dressed list. The short sleeve mesh t-shirt under the white fluffy gown with the fifteen foot out- of- control train is bad enough. Top it off with a white backward baseball cap with flowers and a veil, and the result is amusing, but Kylie doesn’t seem to be in on the joke. This is a dress more suitable for Lady Gaga, who would see the humor in it…

WORST DRESSED AT THE FASHION AWARDS

We cannot resist presenting two of the WORST outfits at some event called the Daily Front Row Fashion Awards in Beverly Hills this week. Worst dressed guy is Machine Gun Kelly, simply because he usually looks SO much better. He’s in the habit of doing a lot of experimenting with his hair and clothing and his courage usually pays off. But this pink hair with the flower jacket and pearls is NOT sexy or rockstar looking. Christina Aguilera’s long tight leather coat dress is all wrong in another way. Not only is it unflattering and boxy, but she looks VERY uncomfortable – can you imagine getting out of a car or SITTING through the event in all this bulky leather? How about using the bathroom? We suspect that when she got home that night she couldn’t WAIT to rip this garment off and will never look at it again…

Sorry, no matter how many times Rihanna does this look, it doesn’t get any easier on the eyes. It’s fine for the beach, but NOT dinner in Beverly Hills. We never realized that Rihanna had such a powerful EGO that she believes that everyone is delighted to look at her expanding midsection. Even The Rock doesn’t go shirtless to dinner. We’re hoping other people don’t pick up on this unpleasant trend…

CHRISSY TEIGEN: A BALL GOWN AT THE GRAMMYS? REALLY?

On the plus side, Chrissy Teigen looked gorgeous at The Grammys. The over-the-top pink gown she wore was beyond beautiful and she didn’t flash too much skin or look uncomfortable. But WHERE did she think she was going? Her voluminous (Oscar appropriate) dress had a loooong train and it was totally the wrong thing to wear for the occasion. The Grammys dress code is RELAXED – they say “black tie is suggested” and no one was ever thrown out for not being dressed up enough. The event is young and fun and extravagant rock n’ roll attire is expected – NOT formal attire….

THERE’S STILL HOPE FOR LIZZO

We’ve spent considerable time picking on Lizzo for the awful, revealing outfits she chooses to wear- so we were taken aback to see her in a cute, perfectly normal outfit at something called the Hollywood Beauty Awards this weekend. Usually Lizzo says she is encouraging “big girls” to have the courage to wear skimpy clothing. Like a thong to a Lakers game? Or a transparent dress to Cardi B’s birthday party? Or a tiny crochet bra and torn jeans to Craig’s restaurant? If a non-celebrity dressed like Lizzo, she would be asked to LEAVE most places…Chubby or slender, bad taste is just bad taste. So we were pleasantly surprised to see Lizzo looking like THIS!

THIS is how Justin Bieber looked last night when he took his wife out to dinner at the high-end restaurant Carbone in New York. Hailey was dressed to the nines and looked quite adorable. When we see Justin in one of his unappealing outfits like this, we wonder how his fashion company Drew House stays in business. Do his fans really want to LOOK like Justin? His unisex Drew designs have been described as “super-baggy” in “drab colors” so this might be from his fall collection. Lucky for him, he has boatloads of fans with apparently low fashion standards who DO buy his overpriced clothes. At least this outfit doesn’t have DREW written across the crotch…
