Steven Seagal has continued his love affair with Vladimir Putin since they bonded over martial arts in 2016. (Seagal opened a martial Arts Academy in Moscow.) Putin granted Seagal Russian citizenship at that time, and deliriously grateful Seagal declared that Putin was “one of the greatest world leaders, if not THE greatest world leader alive today!” Seagal also supports the invasion of Ukraine and accused the US government of “spending billions on lies in the media to discredit morale in Russia.” In February, Putin awarded Seagal the Order of Friendship medal.
