The outspoken Carrie Fisher is one of our longtime favorites – she’s incredibly smart and funny and occasionally plagued by psychological problems. She’s promoting The Force Awakens and likes to joke about how she was asked to lose 35 pounds before filming started. “They didn’t want ALL of me” she says “they only wanted 3/4 of me. They might as well have told me to GET YOUNGER!” Carrie went on to say that her French Bulldog Gary (above at the airport) was so smitten with the movie that his tongue has been hanging out ever since he saw it.

God knows she has a hundred worthy quotes but one of my favorites is:
“I feel I’m very sane about how crazy I am.”
——Carrie Fisher
what happened to her? Why does she have all these “psychological problems”? She used to be so cute and talented now she looks and acts like a teetering old fool.
She’s had a slew of drug dramas throughout her life….cocaine….prescription pills… That coupled with her depression and bi-polar disorder created problems in her life. Although, it made for witty, entertaining books she has authored.
Her life is an open book and she openly shares her personal struggles with her public.
I liked her as an actress but love her as a writer.
this doggie needs excitement she cant give.
I love dogs, but I feel people that have to have their dog with them 24/7 have issues.
Total nut case. I couldn’t believe it when they picked her to play in Star Wars.
Like Patty Duke, she’s bipolar. Unfortunately, not much was know how to effectively treat it, so like so many, they self-medicated. Patty says that Lithium is what saved her. Carrie use to go through electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) treatments, and yes they were similar to the ones featured in “American Horror Story” and “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”. So she went to great lengths to get better. Carrie wrote “Postcards From the Edge” starring Meryl Streep. It is about how she self-destructed on drugs and alchohol.
BTW, her mother Debbie Reynolds is so wonderful, and I’ve always wondered why she hasn’t had the career resurgence that Betty White has going.
Carrie is funny, cut her a break. Bipolar is no picnic.
Star Wars? Get a life people. It’s the Walmart of Movie franchises. Intended only to drain your wallet.
Another oddball….
