CARRIE FISHER SAW THE HUMOR IN EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED TO HER

We all saw it coming but we didn’t want it to be true. Carrie Fisher suffered that massive heart attack on a plane as she was coming home for Christmas. She was described as “unresponsive” when she was removed from the plane. What exactly does that mean? Unconscious, or no signs of life? After she was whisked to the hospital we were told that she was “stable.” Days later George Michael suddenly died and attention turned to him. Now Carrie is gone and we fondly remember laughing uproariously at her stage show “Wishful Drinking.” Carrie had plenty of problems in life and dealt with them all with her brilliant sense of humor. Not many children of famous parents achieve their own success like Carrie did. She was one of a kind. Hopefully her dog Gary was right beside her at the end.

BILLIE LOURD IS STARTING AT THE TOP

Carrie Fisher and her daughter Billie Lourd had a great time at the spectacular Star Wars: The Force Awakens premier in Hollywood. They are both in the movie but their characters are not related. Billie, 23, is still in shock because this is her FIRST acting role. Since filming the movie she landed a role on the Fox series Scream Queens with Jamie Lee Curtis. Billie is the granddaughter of Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher so she might have some inherent talent. Anyway, she’s no dummy – she started her career RIGHT by graduating from NYU before she started acting.

SLIMMER CARRIE FISHER SAYS HER DOG LOVED “THE FORCE AWAKENS”

The outspoken Carrie Fisher is one of our longtime favorites – she’s incredibly smart and funny and occasionally plagued by psychological problems. She’s promoting The Force Awakens and likes to joke about how she was asked to lose 35 pounds before filming started. “They didn’t want ALL of me” she says “they only wanted 3/4 of me. They might as well have told me to GET YOUNGER!” Carrie went on to say that her French Bulldog Gary (above at the airport) was so smitten with the movie that his tongue has been hanging out ever since he saw it.

OTHER MEN SHOULD TAKE A HINT FROM HARRISON FORD

Now HERE’S a nice looking man! Harrison Ford, 73, is walking down the street in Beverly Hills and he looks better than most men HALF his age – or less. No baseball cap, no gigantic t-shirt, no cargo shorts, and NO flip flops! Without even trying, he’s probably Best Dressed man of the month! We’re guessing Calista Flockhart has a lot to do with his appearance. Harrison’s Star Wars movie is debuting with considerable fanfare, next month.

STAR WARS: CARRIE FISHER INTENDS TO DO IT BETTER THIS TIME AROUND

To be honest, we’d have zero interest in seeing the new Star Wars movie if we didn’t know Carrie Fisher was reprising her Princess Leia role thirty seven years later. Don’t bother asking her about the plot – she’s sworn to secrecy. But she’s full of jokes – she said “I begged them to put my buns hairstyle back in grey like Granny Leia.” Carrie says that this time she wants to get her character’s accent right – less British. “I looked pretentious faking the accent – it came and went.” According to her mother Debbie Reynolds, Carrie was inspired to lose a lot of weight for her return as Leia so she’ll look good in those costumes.

JOE MANGANIELLO’S FIRST CELEBRITY CRUSH

True Blood stud Joe Mangeniello was asked by Elle magazine who his first celebrity crush was, and he answered this:

“Princess Leia from Star Wars. I actually met Carrie Fisher a couple of years ago. When I told her that she was my first crush, she insisted that we get married and have a reality show about it. I’m lucky to have made it out of that weekend without getting married.”

We LOVE this and can just IMAGINE Carrie’s excitement and reaction!

HARRISON FORD WANTS TO KILL HAN SOLO

No sooner did rumors start spreading that Harrison Ford might return to play Han Solo in Star Wars: Episode VII, than he flew his family off to Brazil for Carnival. Harrison, 70, and his wife Calista Flockhart, 48, and their son Liam, 12, vacationed looking pretty much like any other American family. He looks happy about getting a bundle of money for Star Wars – the deal is still being negotiated and the catch is that Harrison wants his character to DIE in the new film.
