Back in the 70’s, Shelley Duvall was one of the MOST popular actresses. She was adored for being a truly original personality and a one-of-a-kind, likeable person. She dated Paul Simon for awhile. You might have seen her in The Shining, 3 Women, or Popeye with Robin Williams. Shelley’s big toothy smile was her trademark and that makes this photo particularly sad. Shelley, 72, lives in central Texas (she fled Hollywood in the 90’s after the big earthquake.) She acknowledges having mental problems, but still appreciates being recognized by her fans, and will happily pose for a picture with them -like she did here.

Getting old sucks
Getting old may look like crap but you can still really enjoy life.
What happened to her? Poor woman looks like she’s been living on the streets.
Thank you, Janet for all the fabulous photos you find. I knew Shelley lived in Texas but I haven’t seen her for many years. While this photo is sad, I still love the update of what is going on with her. I also enjoyed the photos of Britney & Madonna. No one else bothers to discover these great finds.

Why is the photo sad? She’s old, that’s what old people look like. I guess she should have had tons of plastic surgery and look like stupid Madonna?
