What does Page Six have against Meghan Markle? Their recent headline said: “MEGHAN MARKLE INVITED HERSELF TO PARIS FASHION WEEK”

If you read on, the story revealed that Meghan Markle is an old friend of new Balenciaga designer Pierpaolo Piccioli, and she called him up and said she’d love to come to his first collection show. He was THRILLED that she was coming to support him, and didn’t tell anyone she was coming to surprise everyone at his show. It was a nice gesture – so why did Page Six DELIBERATELY imply in that headline that Meghan “invited herself?“ I do not understand why people pick on Meghan Markle for no reason – are they jealous? I have never heard a negative story about her from a reliable source…

If so that would explain the hate, divisive rhetoric and the misinformation (lies).

Janet. Good point. The Murdoch media group is right wing as many know. These negative stories do two things for them depending on history:
1. Negative stories of soft perceived iberals nurtures their disillusioned right wing supporters who need to believe that anyone other than their own kind is the godless enemy. They believe anything they are told.
2. Not unlike the current administration, Fox News and Page Six help Murdoch exact revenge against people who have refused interviews or caused unwelcome friction with commentary. Attacking random people permit them to solidify the “all in” mentality we are seeing across the U.S. as more right wing people give them permission to act out hate crimes and spread lies.
This happened when Trump fell out of favor with Murdoch prior to the last election cycle and every day they posted negative information about Trump until finally something got resolved in the stories went back to being more positive.
