As the kidnapping case of her mother Nancy drags on, my source says that privately Savannah is trying to come to terms with the fact that her mom may not be found alive and may never be found at all. Career driven Savannah has been off the show over one month, but sticking around her mom’s home in Arizona no longer seems to be working for her. She needs a distraction – and what better distraction than work. While things could change, the current plan is for her to return to the airwaves shortly, with the understanding that she can take another leave of absence whenever she feels she needs to.

One could argue that with the decline of viewers from linear cable tv she is vastly overpaid. I do pray they find her Mother. Its been far too long.

To your point, she’s overpaid. But it’s not she needs the money if she wants to come back, she may need to go back to work to like a functioning person again. Staying home waiting by phone doesn’t do her any good.
And please look up Trump’s net worth. That puny salary he gets as the Liar in Chief doesn’t even pay for Melania’s wardrobe. Terrible comparison.
