Rod Stewart just posted this adorable photo of himself that was featured on the cover of Rolling Stone in June 1973. He was a big fashionista in those days and often appeared at  the Whisky a GoGo on Sunset Strip. Not long after this was taken he popped into my store down the street – The Garment District. He was looking for “women’s frilly blouses” for himself.  Rod was unusual because he had no problem with wearing women’s clothing- the more outrageous the better.  Chances are the suit he’s wearing here was made for a woman…
