ROD SERLING MUST BE SPINNING IN HIS GRAVE

We’re not sure if we overestimated Jordan Peele, or he had little to do with the new Twilight Zone on CBS, but it was a HUGE disappointment. We only saw the first free episode with Kumail Nanjiani, who was excellent as a failing stand-up comic. Unlike the original Twilight Zone, the writing was beyond amateur and the plot barely worth the effort. This lame and muddled mess could ruin Peele’s reputation, and we will NOT be signing up for CBS All Access.

“…Kumail Nanjiani, who was excellent as a failing stand-up comic.”

One of the great, subtle lines that reminds us why we love this site. 😀

As for the series, we’ll give it a pass—based on the JCH review.

    Fortunately, the originals live on!
