PATTIE BOYD WAS IDOLIZED BY MUSIC GROUPIES IN THE ’60s

Here’s a face we haven’t seen in awhile – it’s Pattie Boyd – she was the gorgeous “It Girl” that everybody wanted to BE in the trendy and tumultuous 1960’s. Pattie worked in a hair salon and modeled in London when she was cast as a schoolgirl in the Beatles movie “A Hard Day’s Night” and her life changed forever. She ended up marrying George Harrison and later fell for and married George’s friend Eric Clapton. Eventually that marriage dissolved due to his drinking and cheating, but apparently there are no hard feelings. Pattie, 73, showed up for the London premier of Showtime’s documentary “Eric Clapton: Life in 12 Bars.”

  1. Wow. She looks amazing for 73. She and her sister, Jenny (Helen Mary Boyd) sure went for the musicians/singers.

Jenny married Mick Fleetwood and had kids. Then later drummer Ian Wallace (they divorced). She ended up going to college in California and getting her a PhD in psychology,

  2. Pattie Boyd was also the inspiration for several famous songs……”Wonderful Tonight”…..”Layla”…..and another one from Clapton that I can’t think of right now.

She wrote a book several years back. I haven’t read it but I keep meaning to buy it.
