Bea Arthur’s death sneaked up on us – we didn’t realize she was sick. We have many fond memories of watching “The Golden Girls” on Saturday night while getting dressed to go out. That is how we want to remember her – as Dorothy, sitting in the kitchen with her roommates, having cheesecake late at night or over breakfast, discussing Blanche’s promiscuity. These “girls” made retirement in Miami seem like fun.

“Lost” star Naveen Andrews is looking exceptionally dapper and sexy as he shops on Robertson Blvd. Chances are he’s looking to buy something nice for his sweetheart Barbara Hershey. Barbara has been a trouper in helping care for Naveen’s 3 year old son since Naveen got full custody in January.

Ryan Seacrest (above chatting with Kelsey and Camille Grammer) left his seat right before halftime to make his way through the tunnel to the chairman’s lounge. On his way he was delighted to encounter a gaggle of uniformed Laker Girls assembling in the tunnel. He turned on the charm and started flirting. When he asked one if he could get her number, she protested “We’re WORKING right now!” Indeed, they were waiting for their cue to run onto the floor to perform during time out. Ryan backed off, but still managed to walk away with a couple of phone numbers.

Ever since Star wrote about Jennifer Lopez having an entire room devoted to her wig collection (just like Cher,) we’ve been looking more closely at her photos to figure out which hairstyles are wigs. The long wavy hair with bangs look that we’ve seen so often lately is obviously not her real hair. She really had us fooled.

Ann and Nancy Wilson of “Heart” walking around Hollywood too often. The pair just picked up an award from the ASCAP music society. Ann has always struggled with her weight. She has the dubious honor of being the first performer in a video that we remember being technically “stretched” to look thinner. Now things like that are done all the time, but back in the 80’s it was a big deal.

Michael Lohan (above with his 34 year old fiancee Erin Muller) has a new job. Lindsay’s father has signed up to become a spokesperson for the new water vapor non flammable E-Cigarettes sold on “SmokingEverywhere.com.” The electronic cigarettes are advertised as “healthy” with no harmful additives, yet they give the smoker a dose of nicotine. Michael told entertainment journalist Patricia Towle that he already introduced the smoking substitute to Mickey Rourke– who loved it. Lohan is hoping to get Hollywood hooked on his product.

Michael Jackson’s appearance when leaving a medical building in Beverly Hills this week, he appears to be getting hair transplants or some similar augmentation in preparation for his concerts in London this summer. Under his fedora you can plainly see a surgical bonnet, which implies that he’s had work done on his head. Michael burned his scalp in 1984 while filming a Pepsi commercial but he didn’t lose a great deal of hair. For whatever reason, he’s been wearing wigs for the last decade and maybe they’re getting hot and itchy so he’s seeking to improve his real hair.
Heart throb Ken Wahl, who pretty much retired from acting after a serious spinal injury in the early 90’s, has finally figured out where all his money went. Not only did he file suit against his business manager Henry Levine, but he has accused his exwife Corrine Alphen of conniving with Levine to steal millions of dollars of his money. Wahl, currently married to Shane Barbi, believes Corinne filtered money in and out of a trust fund he set up for their son Raymond. Acquaintances of Corrine aren’t surprised. They say the naturally beautiful Penthouse Pet became addicted to expensive plastic surgery. Besides having yearly liposuction, she redid her face, lips, breasts, and augmented her butt and calves!
