Kate Hudson turned up at the GLSEN Respect Awards looking like THIS. Considering the fact that she has her own activewear clothing collection, you’d think Kate would give a liitle thought to her appearance. She’s awfully cute, and it’s not easy to make her look dowdy, but this glitzy jumpsuit makes her look a mile wider and a foot shorter. It’s a combination of several questionable trends..inexplicable.

We love the idea of walking into the Yummy Pop store in Paris and having Scarlett Johansson wait on us! She is, after all, co-owner of the gourmet popcorn shop with her French husband Romain Dauriac, and plans to help out occasionally. Romain’s sister will manage the place. Romain is a journalist who now manages a creative ad agency so we figure he knows how to promote the shop into a big business. The gourmet popcorn flavors include everything from Vermont Cheddar to truffle, Parmesan, and sage. (Above, at a pre-opening this weekend, Scarlett waited on customers with Romain watching over her shoulder.)

Whenever we see Tom Cruise, 54, on the red carpet with his leading ladies, our eyes immediately dart to his SHOES. We confess we are utterly fascinated with his custom-made elevator shoes that give him several extra inches of height. His brunette costar in Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, Cobie Smulders, is 5’8” and she’s wearing 4 inch heels. Note that she and 5’7” Tom are nearly the same height. Those must be some AMAZING shoes he has on!

Amal Clooney, who happens to be one of the most famous lawyers in the world, surprised her husband George Clooney with a visit on the set of his movie Suburbicon in LA. Amal looked fashionable in embroidered bell bottoms and a fringed leather handbag with her dog by her side. (And she didn’t forget doggie clean-up bags!) George was not so hot in a golf shirt and dad jeans. He grabbed her hand but didn’t put the phone down.

EJ Johnson’s outfit would really be sexy on a woman – it’s a sheer bodysuit with shoulderpads, leather fringe belt and high boots. EJ likes to dress in female attire and makeup but so far he has expressed no desire to BE a woman. Luckily his parents Magic and Cookie are always supportive. He’s dolled up for opening night of the posh new LA club Nightingale but the evening didn’t end well. Partiers fled the fancy club holding their noses long before the 4AM closing time. When Rihanna arrived at the recording studio in New York , she saw the paparazzi waiting and immediately took off her coat so her Hillary Clinton t-shirt was clearly visible. Since her photos are bound to circulate EVERYWHERE, Rihanna’s promotion of Hillary is probably almost as good as a billboard on 42nd Street. We have yet to see a celebrity wearing a Donald Trump shirt.

It’s been awhile since we saw Suri Cruise in the bright California sunshine, and we’re struck by how she has changed! She always looked like a mini-me of her mom Katie Holmes, but as she grows up, Suri is looking more and more like her movie star dad! By all accounts, it’s been three years since she actually SAW her father, (Scientology rules?) and we wonder if this photo will stimulate Tom to get in touch. Dennis Quaid, 62, has traded in his 17 years younger wife Kimberly Buffington for a newer model – 32 years younger Santa Auzina. Dennis has a son Jack with his ex-wife Meg Ryan and he has 8 year old twins with estranged wife Kimberly. Quaid and French-Canadian model/actress Santa got acquainted in Canada when he was filming The Art of More TV series. Around that time BOTH Quaid’s marriage and Santa’s marriage broke up- she has two young daughters. Is somebody here a homewrecker?
