NICOLAS CAGE SOLD THE FIRST SUPERMAN COMIC FOR TWO MILLION DOLLARS

Nicolas Cage’s life is riddled with idiosyncrasies. A few years ago, he was a regular at high-end auctions in Los Angeles, and he always bought strange stuff like prehistoric rocks for a lot of money. Cage had the first Superman comic framed on his wall for years, but back in 2000 he had so many houses that he lost track and it was stolen. In April,it was recovered when someone bought the contents of an abandoned storage locker (what an episode this would have made for Storage Wars!) and Cage got it back. His comic is exceptionally well preserved and was just auctioned off for $2,161,000 – a new record! He must be kinda broke to part with it.

  1. I’ve got lots of dinosaur fossils, mineral specimens etc. High end stuff!
    Anybody buyin?
    Didn’t think so.
Wish I had all my hockey cards, comic books and original rock and roll vinyl pressings.
    FUCK!!

  2. I hear you Patrick. Wish I still had all those Mickey Mantle baseballs cards (I thought he was cute so I collected them) I used to stick to my bike spokes with clothes pins to make that flapping sound.

I do think however, that $2 million for a comic book is ridiculous.

And Nic Cage is a good example of how too much money too soon can really screw you up.

  3. most americans believe this kind of crap.
DO YOU STILL WONDER WHY THE COUNTRY IS BANKRUPT?

  4. ok so he sold it for 2 mil.. back in the day he probly bought it for 2.5 mil.,only his accountant didn’t tell him about his own brokerage fee. nic was shittin money at one time and now he can’t even piss in a cup for free.
spoiler alert- here comes another over-reaching b-movie starring none other than that will net him enough loot so he can buy it back for 3 mil.

  5. I can’t stand Nicholas Cage’s looks or his movies or anything about him….nada, nothing, zero, zilch. He is as crazy as anyone in all GollyWeird.
