Mickey Rourke is down on his luck and facing eviction for owing nearly $60,000 in unpaid rent, but the actor has distanced himself from a GoFundMe launched to raise money to help him stay in his home. According to our Hollywood source, many Hollywood stars had been anonymously donating to the fund and it was already close to exceeding its $100,000 initial goal before Mickey released an Instagram video urging everyone NOT to donate to it. The stars were donating anonymously because they don’t want to deal directly with Mickey since he can be mercurial and cantankerous, but nonetheless they felt bad for his unfortunate situation and wanted to help. We don’t have all of the names but can tell you Robert Downey Jr and Armie Hammer are just two of those who have donated, but now that Mickey has disavowed the efforts, a group of stars, including Robert and Armie, are brainstorming for a way to help without hurting Mickey’s pride or ego.

He’s a great actor but looks like he’s had a messy life. According to his Instagram post, he stopped paying rent because the landlord refused to do some major repairs, including plumbing and flooring. So, he just stopped payment. Not the way to handle this situation! According to his manager, he doesn’t even have a bank account. And also, despite what IMDB is posting, the manager also says he hasn’t worked in quite a while.
