The anniversary of Princess Diana’s death just passed and it stimulated some memories. We recall how shocked everyone was on the day it happened in 1997 -Diana and her boyfriend of one month, Dodi Fayed, were both killed in that violent auto accident in a Paris tunnel. Paparazzi who had been following them, stopped to photograph the deadly scene. I had known Dodi for a couple of years – he had produced some successful movies in Hollywood. He frequently gave a mutual friend of ours gossip to give me for my column in Star Magazine. He was actually quite likeable and funny and enjoyed being written about. He was also grateful and treated me to an an expensive dinner for two at the Ritz Hotel when I was in Paris. (His father Mohamed owned the hotel.) Dodi also sent me a fluffy Ritz Hotel robe as a gift, which I still have. After the accident, his father Mohamed brazenly accused the paparazzi of CAUSING the accident. He ranted and raved about the despicable press and journalists and created a firestorm of hatred for the press. It turned out, of course, that he did this to cover up the fact that his son Dodi (or perhaps he himself) was actually responsible for Diana’s death. The Fayed family driver was found to be highly intoxicated and speeding – THAT’s what caused the accident. And of course they didn’t use seatbelts.

That is RUBBISH. It is known the driver was NOT drunk. Obviously a hit job!!

Hopefully he was a better man than his disgusting Father , accused of multiple counts of rape and attempted rape by several women who worked for him – many of whom felt unable to report what had happened until recently.
