MEGHAN MARKLE’S MOM IS NOT COMING OUT OF THE HOUSE – YET

Meghan Markle’s mom Doria Ragland, 61, lives in a very accessible house in Los Angeles (above) and since her daughter got engaged to Prince Harry she’s been bombarded by reporters and paparazzi. Doria is cute and looks very young – she has dreadlocks and a nose ring – she’s often mistaken for a friend of Meghan rather than her mother. She and Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle, divorced when Meghan was six. Doria is quite accomplished – she has a Master’s degree in social work from USC and she runs marathons and teaches yoga classes. A typical California gal! Doria IS cautious about talking to the press clamoring outside her house – Buckingham Palace has arranged for security and warned press to leave her alone.

  1. The whole world is DELIGHTED! But mom will have to move to a house in a gated community, sooner than later. : )

  2. Meghan and Harry make a very attractive couple–and seem well-suited, but it was a bit much hearing her claim not to know who he was before their introduction! Right. Which makes Meghan Markle either a moron or a bad liar, especially considering the photos splashed today, showing her posing outside Buckingham Palace (Harry’s Granny’s house) aged 15. Oops.

Apparently such a ridiculous claim is meant to put Meghan in some sort of unaffected, down-to-earth light. Good luck with that one, as she has clearly been prepping for her moment in the spotlight for some time. She is a PRO.

Interestingly, Alex Ohanian floated the same fiction about “not knowing who Serena was”; had he been in a coma during the long years she and her sister have dominated women’s tennis?

Here’s hoping that that kind of P.R. nonsense doesn’t presage an unhappy outcome for either relationship; in Meghan’s case, news of her engagement has already shaken the Establishment to its core.

Not a bad thing, considering that selfsame entity was responsible for the death of Harry’s mother.
