For some reason we got a huge kick out of this vintage photo of Madonna taken on a New York bus in the late 70’s . At that time she was a struggling artist living in Manhattan and her then-boyfriend Dan Gilroy snapped the pic. She looked like a cute but ordinary person. In 1983 her debut album was released and changed everything. No more busses…no more Dan either…

I love this photo! It shows everyone starts from somewhere and also shows the true dogged perseverance that Madonna had in her life almost giving up and going back to Michigan. Now she is our music icon forever and still wowing us. You go girl!! Always will have a special place in my heart.
