On her first weekend after “completing” rehab, it seems like Lindsay Lohan couldn’t resist hitting all her favorite bars. One stop was Winston’s in West Hollywood, and other patrons say she entered looking “like a train wreck – stringy hair, greasy makeup, lots of eye makeup. (With water bottle in hand.) She sat with friends who bought her another bottle of water, but she basically “ignored them all night and fiddled with her Blackberry.” At closing time she immediately fired up a cigarette and exited throught the back door “just in case.” We wonder – does she talk about these visits to bars at her AA meetings?

Addiction is a pandemic problem in Hollywood and it should be taken seriously. Most people contribute to AIDS recover but have no concept of this grave disease that is killing young people. Lindsay is walking around with water in her hands and no one has anything supportive or good to say. The readers here are very judgemental and vindictive.

Sounds like she’s atleast is focused about not drinking… Drinking water in a bar is actually quite hard to do if your hanging out with your so-call drunk friends. What she doing is evaluating her pardigm shift and one day she’ll probably drop those friends who were essentially her drinking buddies (misery loves company).

It’s not Lindsay Lohan-the-rich-celebrity it’s important to cross our fingers for. It’s Lindsay-Lohan-the-human-being. Man, they’re just people after all. Seriously, when crap happens to them they feel it just like when crap happens to us. If my next door neighbour were imploding like LL is, I’d hope for them to get well too. I think people who hope she ODs are jealous and, in fact, are outing themselves as the very people who put these guys on pedestals(otherwise, why else would you think they should be ‘brought down’?)

Please know that I don’t intend to be critical when I say that perhaps you could use your writing powers for good, i.e., instead of being snide as in your last sentence. You have some clout. Maybe you would be able to gather up some of your entertainment contacts to send out a message of support to Lohan. Encouragement and compliments work so much better to empower people than slamming them down and making them feel like crap. Even if everyone feels they deserve it. Imagine if Lohan O.D’d or something how we’d feel if we’d been nasty. It doesn’t make us starfuckers to like them.
