Julie Newmar is the Original and most coveted Catwoman of all time – she costarred with Adam West on the Batman TV series in the 60’s. She was also an accomplished Broadway star, but we remain fascinated by her private life. She got several patents in the 70’s – for a “nearly invisible” bra and pantyhose. In the 80’s we were surprised to find a very large quantity of Newmar pantyhose for sale in a thrift shop – and they all had THREE LEGS! Manufacturer’s mistake? Nope! Julie reasoned that the wearer always had a spare if she got a run in her hose. Unfortunately, not many women wanted a third pantyhose leg wrapped around their hips so they didn’t sell! Julie Newmar also made a valiant attempt to get leaf–blowers banned by the LA City Council, but ultimately failed. We wish she had succeeded…

She is 84 years old. I actually thought she had passed away awhile back. Glad to see her out and about.
She was stunning back then and, at 84, is stunning now. The embodiment of pure sex appeal in the 60s and 70s.
Another website states that the three-legged pantyhose was co-invented by two people. Is this correct?
