Her time on White Lotus is over, but Jennifer Coolidge is counting on her pal, series creator, Mike White, to create a series specifically for her. Playing Tanya McQuoid on the series was the biggest thing to happen to Jennifer’s career since her role in Legally Blonde, and she won Emmys for both of those performances. After getting killed off at the end of the second season, Jennifer’s career has plateaued and now’s she’s betting on Mike to change that. He’s working on a pilot with Jennifer playing the lead – and it should go into production in early 2026.

I like her but she seems to be a 1 trick pony. How much breathy baby talk does it take to carry a show without getting old?

I think it’s about how you utilize that and let it be incidental quirk rather than leaning into it as a major thing in the show. I think it could be great if they don’t focus on it or make her too dumb. I frankly found her character on White Lotus kind of ridiculously naive to the point of obnoxious. A defter hand on her next character would be nice.
