Hurricane Melissa dominated the news this week with the heartbreaking storm wreaking havoc in the Caribbean and here’s what we know.  Although her birthplace of Barbados is over 1000 miles away from the eye of the storm in Jamaica, Rihanna still considers all of the Caribbean countries part of her extended family. That’s why she secretly made a million-dollar donation to the relief efforts.  My source says the singer didn’t want any fanfare over her generosity, so the donation was made through one of her business entities.

Caitlyn Jenner was in the news after an appearance on The Kardashians when Kris Jenner surprised her kids by having her ex-husband over for dinner to say goodbye to the home they purchased together and she was selling.  On the show Caitlyn made a joke about not being able to afford the house, and my source says there’s a backstory. Since transitioning from male to female, the athlete formerly known as Bruce hasn’t been as financially successful as his ex-wife and kids (daughter Kylie is a billionaire on paper thanks to her cosmetics business).  My source says Caitlyn, while happy for Kylie, is also a tad disappointed that more financial help hasn’t been offered.  As my source explains it’s not like Caitlyn is broke, but she just doesn’t enjoy the lavish lifestyle of private jets and couture fashions that her ex-wife and daughters  do. She wishes they’d all share their wealth a little more.

As we previously reported, Cheryl Hines made the news when she went on Billy Bush’s podcast and revealed she hasn’t spoken to her Curb Your Enthusiasm husband Larry David since 2024! (old news to our readers)  Well here’s the latest.  After the podcast, another Curb star, Ted Danson, reached out to Cheryl to try to mend fences and find common ground.  Ted is just as if not more liberal than Larry, and they both distanced themselves from Cheryl due to the far right views of her husband Bobby Kennedy Jr. Ted is now putting together a mini reunion inviting all of the former Curb stars, including Larry and Cheryl to his estate in Ojai, California,and my source says he hopes it turns into a peace summit so that the cast (especially Larry) and Cheryl can put political differences aside and restart their former friendship.

Speaking of politics, Kamala Harris made news when she revealed on a promotional appearance for her book, that she’s NOT done with politics,  hinting she will run for the White House again in 2028.  We can tell you this.  While Kamala may have the support of many, some of the deep pocket Democratic donors aren’t sold on another run, and are leaning towards backing California Governor Gavin Newsom.  My very well placed source says that many of these donors feel Kamala can’t overcome the missteps of her last campaign and they are secretly trying to discourage her from another presidential run by offering her a high paid position on one of the numerous corporations they control.

One more political recap, the new White House ballroom continues to be talked about after more and more details emerge.  Well we just heard this doozy.  As we previously reported, Donald Trump is planning to build a mini hotel adjacent to the ballroom and now we know why.  My source says that Trump wants to lease the ballroom out for private events, specifically weddings for the ultra rich and dinners for the wealthiest corporations.  He feels a grand ballroom that’s only used a few times a years for State dinners doesn’t make sense so he is planning to monetize the project into what is being called a private club for the world’s richest people.

Bad Bunny made the news again when the commissioner of the NFL announced the league had no plans of replacing the singer as the halftime entertainer.  While that is true, what wasn’t revealed is that the singer has been offered a major incentive (a private box at the Super Bowl exclusively for his guests) if he performs at least some of his set in English, since his songs are mostly in Spanish.  My source adds that the NFL is trying to be creative to lower the temperature surrounding Bad Bunny’s performance, and feels including English songs in the show makes the most sense.

And speaking of music, Luigi Mangione made headlines when it was leaked that his jailhouse playlist includes Taylor Swift.  We heard that this news was met with mixed reactions by Taylor’s rabid fan base of Swifties, but that some of her supporters were happy by the announcement and have flooded Luigi’s commissary account with donations.  My source says that ever since Luigi’s newfound fondness for Taylor’s music was made public, a fraction of her fans have contributed to his account and he’s flushed with more spending money.
