Bad Bunny’s highly anticipated Super Bowl halftime show was a huge success, and while he promoted unity, he steered clear of political statements (remember we told ya he risked a $10 million fine for going off script).  Here’s what we know.  The talented performer also promoted unity off-camera, and very privately reached out to Kid Rock (who hosted a competing halftime show.)  My source says that instead of being upset or threatened by Kid’s show (which was pretty much universally panned) Bad Bunny sent Kid a lavish floral arrangement before the show to wish him success.  He even suggested they team up in the future on a DUET to promote unity even if their politics are drastically different. Nice.

One of the saddest stories of the week was the passing of Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek at 48-years-old.  Although James’ health battle had been going on for the last few years he seemed optimistic in his last appearance in December.  Here’s what we know.  Friends of the family started a GOFUNDME account to raise money for his widow and six children.  While James’ former costar, Katie Holmes posted a heartfelt tribute on social media, she also PRIVATELY wired the family $250,000 to  get them through their initial expenses, since it could take time for them to access the GoFundMe donations.  Don’t expect any fanfare or announcement from Katie though, she did this discreetly since she had a connection to a former business manager of James.

The kidnapping of Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy from her Tucson, Arizona home continues to dominate headlines with no apparent leads.  We can tell you this.  Our source connected to the television news journalist tells us that Savannah has very quietly hired her OWN private investigators who are on the case.  Savannah isn’t telling many people ( our source even feels that she hasn’t told her siblings).  As my source explains, Savannah’s head is spinning because rumors swirl that her brother-in-law is possibly a suspect and she wants clarity.

Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively were back in the news when they attended a mandatory settlement conference.  Photos emerged of Justin smiling on his way out of the meeting and others of Blake looking less than thrilled.  We know this.  While no settlement was reached in the court ordered session, Justin and his team seemed to be THRILLED about the prospect of a very public trial and they are hinting that there’s a smoking gun.  My source says that Justin wanted Blake to issue a complete retraction, but since that didn’t happen, he’s counting that the idea of a possibly televised trial will be the catalyst that causes Blake to fold.

Bijou Phillips made the news when it was revealed she was being treated at UCLA and was in dire need of another kidney transplant (she received one in 2017, but it recently failed and now she’s on dialysis).  We can tell you this.  Her ex-husband, Danny Masterson (they divorced in 2025) is trying to help her secure a donor from behind bars!  Danny is currently serving a lengthy sentence for sexual assault charges and he’s trying to find a suitable donor from among his prison inmates.  While it’s technically illegal to pay for a kidney, my source says there’s way around that. While we aren’t getting into possible scenarios, we do know Danny has made finding a donor his priority.  He doesn’t want their daughter, Fianna, to be raised without either parent if something tragic happened to Bijou, since he’s likely to be incarcerated for years.

Zayn Malik was in the news when he revealed on the Call Her Daddy podcast that he was never “in love” with his baby mama, supermodel Gigi Hadid.  OUCH!  We can tell you this.  The former boy band member was HORRIFIED when he realized how callous his statement sounded, and although he and Gigi had a contentious breakup ( accusations flew on both sides) he immediately reached out to her and personally apologized.  My source explains that he and Gigi are currently in a good place coparenting their daughter, and Zayn wants to keep it that way.

Rihanna made news when she was photographed nonchalantly grocery shopping in Los Angeles along with her personal chef.  We can tell you this.  The songbird and her chef are working on a line of prepared foods highlighting the flavors of her native Barbados, and that’s the reason they just happened to be photographed in the store.  My source hints that this wasn’t a random sighting by a lucky paparazzi, but more like a well planned photo setup to begin to generate publicity for her new venture.  THAT explains why Rihanna was dressed to the nines while picking out produce.
